There is plenty of room for multiple generations, or multiple families to vacation together. As you lounge around this oceanside cottage, you will find original paintings scattered about. Created by our homeowners, these paintings document the adventures of Ufé, a precocious canary, as he takes escapades around the island. The upstairs suites both have comfortable queen beds, that get great light, but are equipped with blackout curtains if you want to sleep in. There is a full bath off the main suite and another in the main hallway. Downstairs, with its own private entrance, is the Captain’s Quarters. With a queen size bed, that has been decorated for the look and feel of the cabin of a ship. Also downstairs is our fourth bedroom with a double and two twins. There are a few toys for the little ones. If you have young artists we encourage them to leave a picture on our children’s art wall! We have a pack and play upon request. There are TWO complete living spaces, upstairs and down. The upstairs living room has a queen pull-out and a large screen television with cable and smart tv. Downstairs living space opens up to the patio. It has a big screen television with cable, smart tv, and classic NES console. The kitchen is fully stocked for all your cooking essentials with new dinner service for up to 16 people. The large outside deck is perfect for lounging, enjoying coffee, and dining together. Downstairs has two hammock swings and two different dining spaces to enjoy coffee or drinks.LocationThe beach is a short walk away. We provide a wagon, stroller, beach towels, beach blanket, and some beach toys for your convenience. You will enjoy the comfort of our private, outdoor shower with both hot and cold water to rinse off bodies and toys once you return fro your day at the beach. At the end of the block is the Galveston State Nature Preserve. From the balcony you can watch beautiful large migratory birds and monarch butterflies or walk down and try to get a peek of wildlife. Sunrise seems to be the best time for animal watching!There are a few restaurants, a convenience store, liquor store, laundry mat, and other business at the entry of the community. Jamaica Beach offers a public community pool ($5 per person per day), private boat ramp at Regatta Basin ($10/day passes must be purchased in advanced), a community pavilion and a neighborhood park. This spacious 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home in Jamaica Beach offers a beautiful HEATED private pool and is the perfect escape for those seeking a mix of relaxation and outdoor activities.As a canal-front home with over 180 feet of waterfront, Corner Cove is a great place to launch kayaks for a peaceful cruise through Jamaica Beach's many canals, or through the kayaking trails of the nearby Galveston Island State Park. Three kayaks and life vests are provided with your stay! If you prefer to keep your feet on dry ground, grab a drink and one of the many provided fishing rods and try your hand at catching flounder, trout, drum, or any other of the many fish species that live in the canals. Or, grab one of the provided crab traps and toss it in! There are many blue crabs in the canals.The pool area, of course, is the pinnacle of home and ground zero for relaxation and fun. Four chaise lounge chairs are the perfect spot for sunbathing in between dips, and those looking to avoid the sun can do so in our adjacent covered garage space which has plenty of seating, a standing bar, and a fun mix of games like axe throwing (safe plastic!) and hook-and-ring.Our pool is heated, and for the comfort of our guests will be maintained at no less than approximately 78-80 degrees from March 1st through October 31st of each year at no extra charge. For bookings from November through February, we are more than happy to heat the pool for an additional fee of $40 per night. If booking Nov. - Feb. dates, simply tell us that you'd like the pool heated during your stay and we will send a follow-up payment requests. Please note that if the air temperature drops below 40 degrees, it may not be feasible to heat the pool, but we will do our best.The home is just a two-minute drive to the beach, and guests are allowed to drive directly onto the beach to park. Be sure to grab one of the provided boogie boards to take with you. When you return, there is an outdoor shower to rinse off. Corner Cove offers huge decks and covered porches for lounging, all of which offer beautiful views of the surrounding water. The large living room has two comfy couches, a recliner, and a TV and entertainment system. The kitchen is fully stocked with virtually everything you will need during your stay, including pots, pans, dishes, cutlery, and appliances. The adjacent dining tables have space for up to 10 diners, and the kitchen bar provides space for another 3.Corner Cove has 4 bedrooms that are set up as follows: (1) master bedroom with king-size bed, pull-out futon, and en suite bathroom; (2) guest bedroom with queen-size bed, as well as a separate bunk bed with a full size bed on the bottom and a twin bed on top; (3) a guest bedroom with a full-size bed and pull-out futon; and (4) a guest bedroom with a queen size bed.
