This is a newly renovated, top-floor 3BR / 4BT 2-story loft with cathedral ceilings at the Rising Bear Condos. Brand new kitchen, appliances, bathrooms, paint, floors, rug, leather sofas, TVs, foosball, arcade -- everything is super clean and brand new. We are a family with 3 kids and starting to rent out our unit on the weekends that we're not using it. You walk 5 mins to Stratton mountain to ski and to the village which has plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, ice cream, coffee, pizza, etc. Also, there is a dedicated shuttle that picks you up in the heated garage and drops off right at base mountain.The unit has plenty of space for 2 families and comfortably sleeps 9 people -- there are two master bedrooms each with its own bath and a kid's bedroom with four twin beds and 1 full-size bed. The new kitchen has a large counter with 4 stools making it a centerpiece for breakfast in the morning and wine/conversation in the evening. The dining room table is set for 6, and the two leaves expand the seating for larger parties. The upstairs loft is a large and fun spot for kids to play on the arcade console w/ 1,000+ games (Pac-Man, Frogger, etc), foosball and bean bag, and plenty of space for air mattresses if you need more space. The balcony overlooks the valley and mountains and is a perfect way to start your day with a cup of coffee. Washer and dryer in the unit. Plus a full-time on-site caretaker.Out front, you have a heated outdoor pool, 2 hot tubs, a sauna, a firepit, and ice skating (skate rentals available). You have 2 reserved parking spots in the heated garage near the elevator and a private locker for your skis/equipment. Our fitness center is a short drive or walk away and permits guests -- we spend hours there with the kids in the olympic size pool, indoor tennis & pickle courts, weight room, cycle room, yoga classes, and massage room. If you don't feel like driving, you can also walk a path to the base lodge/gondola which is only about .5 miles (but uphill so we wouldn't recommend this option in ski boots :) but perfect for a non-skier to get to the base lodge without driving and parking). You can also fish here.Lowell Lake in Londonderry - 20 min and a beautiful location for kayaking and paddle boarding. It also has a 3.5 mile hike around the lake, picnicking, boating and fishing.Townshend Lake - 20 minutes and perfect for picnics and outdoor recreation. The lake includes flush toilets, drinking water, playgrounds, volleyball courts, horse shoe pits, a swim beach and hiking trails available throughout the park. This lake is also stocked once a year with rainbow trout.Also keep a look out for fun events held by Stratton, like the tough mudder in early June or plan a day of mountain biking with some friends! You can also hike the mountain starting from our driveway - head right up the road and onto the mountain via the covered bridge or walk up and start from the base. WOW! It would take a true artistic writer to put in words what my eyes are seeing right now. The sun is setting over a 180 degree view, from 2000 feet above the valley, sitting between the lower stratus clouds and upper cirrus cloud layers. I want to stop writing this and simply sit on the deck with a glass of good wine and take in what nature is serving up right now. But that would require me to remove myself from the vintage leather sofa sitting in front of the glow of the fireplace. Too many choices. I am a 7 year super host with several properties, honestly, this property has by far the best view of any I have, perhaps of any on Stratton Mountain, period! The views simply take your breath away. I know what my guests want and the family, two families, or couple that book this will be treated to an opportunity to make memories at a ridiculously nice home. This house is perfect for up to 8 or more people to share and enjoy. There is a hot tub for 5 with views of the valley. There are 3 floors with the bedrooms spread out over them, each level has its own full bath. The great room has an open living plan with kitchen, dining and living room. The three floors offer separation between guests so there is a variety of environments to satisfy all guests, from the ping pong table downstairs, to the reading nook loft above the great room. Put the kids downstairs and let them go crazy on the xbox while the adults enjoy a romp in the hot tub and a fine dinner at the antique hand made wooden dining table. The bedding is gorgeous. the rooms are decorated to perfection. The kitchen is not a gourmet space but very adequate for the job. The house has great wifi, cable tv, netflix, smart apps and more.
