Kamares Boutique Hotel & Spa Ioannina

What a beautiful hotel. Both the room and the public areas are decorated with a nod to Byzantine heritage but with style and thoughtfulness. Our room had a powerful shower, mini bar with complimentary items and Nespresso machine. The breakfast offering also included a cooked to order selection. The staff were all so helpful and lovely, making the whole experience. Please book this hotel if you are in Ioannina- it's a gem.

From the day of my arrival where I was surprised with an upgrade in my room till my departure, I have nothing negative to add. From the location which is 3 minutes’ walk from the Ioannina Castle to the central Market to the actual Hotel which is considered a historical monument of the city. The professionalism and warmth of the staff and the owner’s as well to meet my every need, the spotless clean rooms, the parking nearby the welcome treats in the room. The Hotel is a real Jem for the City of Ioannina. It depicts the love and work of the owners. The decoration and the attention to every detail that travels you back into another era is unique. It exceeded my expectations. I will revisit and recommend this Hotel or any of the other two “Archontariki” and “Stoes” that belong to this group and display the same feeling and services. The Stoes have also an exceptional restaurant and all are centrally located! So comfortable!

My husband and I took a break from our regular Greek trip routine to visit a friend in Ioannina, a beautiful town further north than Athens. There are lots of trees there so many homes have wood elements! We stayed at Kamares Hotel in the middle of town by their lake! It is exceptional. A historic building, it captures the feeling of the ottoman occupation in that the Turks use our Byzantine artistic traditions when designing their buildings. This hotel has genuine antiques including articles of clothing, jewelry and decore relating to that time. The service was genuine and professional. Highly recommend! Please ask for Maria!

very unhappy with the hotel. We booked a room for four nights for almost 500 euros. The first two nights we suffered from the air conditioner not working. They promised to fix it and lied to us that they fixed it, but no. I had to leave two nights later to look for a replacement because they couldn’t give us another room. I really don’t recommend this hotel to you because I was very disappointed!

Amazing boutique hotel through the history of the Ottoman era, the family was fabulous who run the hotel amazing hosts, would recommend it to anyone who would like to see something different and love history. We where there during the Christmas period and the hotel was lit up with a beautiful Christmas tree and a fireplace

The most excellent place to stay while in Ioannina. Great rooms in the old clasical style, and the stuff extraordinary. Very nice building and great breakfast. Definitely will stay there again. Thanks for everything
