Sportsmans Lodge Bed and Breakfast

Searching online for a place near Moelfre as some friends were staying on a campsite in their camper van. Looking at the reviews, what could possibly go wrong. The answer is absolutely nothing, probably the best B&B I've ever visited. Bob and Heather, a lovely couple, it was a pleasure to meet them. Our room was spacious and spotless and there were some nice toiletries and a good assortment of tea, hot choc, coffee and biscuits. Breakfast time and requirements all arranged the night before and it was just what we wanted. I wouldn't hesitate to return and I wish them both the very best for the future.

We visited the Sportsmans Lodge in July for a four night stay. We were welcomed by our hosts Heather and Bob . After a long drive a pot of tea and biscuits were most welcome. We stayed in the Carnegie Room which was well equipped with tea and coffee facilities, a comfy bed and a good side bathroom. Breakfast was varied from cereals and juice to a jam packed cooked breakfast cooked to your requirements and size, and was delicious. Our hosts were friendly and attentive and at breakfast Bob would enquire about your day and offer advice on your travels around the island including places to eat. Sportsman Lodge is in a quiet hamlet and a relaxing place to be and only about three miles or so from the coast down calm and traffic free country lanes. The location was perfect and the hosts lovely and the perfect place to stay in order to recharge your batteries.

Great place to stay and comfortable - well looked after and Bob and Heather great hosts - lounge well equipped and good place to relax after long days thanks so much for having us - would recommend to anyone in the area - special message to Bob for all the help !

Used as my overnight base for birdwatching in Anglesey. Couldn't fault any aspect of the stay. Good breakfast cooked to order, comfortable bed, good wi-fi and a powerful shower. Our host made me a welcome cup of tea on arrival too which was a nice touch.

Excellent hosts have thought of everything. Made us feel very welcome from the time we arrived to the time we left, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent and rooms were clean and spacious. Would definitely recommend this establishment to people.

Upon check in you receive a warm welcome and are offered a hot drink. With a friendly welcome you are given clear and useful information, they have compiled a useful handbook for any nearby necessities. The room was clean, well stocked with little extras to ensure you have everything you need. Heather is very well organised. They personalise the service you receive by making you feel welcome and chatting to you as if you have known them as friends, breakfast was delicious. They really can't do enough for you! It does feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but a quiet and lovely stay. I would definitely return when in the area and highly recommend.
