It was the worst accommodating experience ever! We had booked 2 family rooms through Booking since February 2023 only to arrive last week and find out that there weren't any rooms for us and that the reservation appeared as ”canceled” to them. Of course, we had shown the confirmed reservation number, but the two ignorant ladies in the reception desk did not seem to bother and check thoroughly . Instead, they told us that we had a problem and that we had to contact Booking because it was not their fault. After 2 hours of our effort to claim our rooms (we never found a contact number for Booking), they found an excuse and told us that they see the reservation now. Without apologizing for their rudeness and cold blooded as they were, they reassured us that we would get our rooms, but after 3 o clock when the check-in was. I told her that we would leave our baggage there and come back at night, so we needed to be sure that we would have rooms to stay. They reassured us. However, when we returned, there was another clueless receptionist for the night shift that again could not find the reservation, so we had to wait again 2 hours standing up exhausted after our trip , our kids almost fell asleep on the reception armchairs ! Finally when we demanded that he speak to the manager he told us that he was sleeping and that he wasn't himself an actual employee at this hotel, he was just covering the position at the reception desk for that day. He finally tried to give us rooms on the condition that we speak to the manager the following morning! He gave us keys that corresponded to double rooms and not family rooms for 4 times, and in the end he managed to give us a family room that had no pillows or blanket for the couch/bed for the kids. When I asked him to give me some, he gave me another key card of another room to go and take what I need from there. Our friends' families never got a family room, but they had to sleep separately in two double rooms! We felt so humiliated and angry of the way they handled the situation that we requested our money back from Booking . What I need to add is that the next day, the manager showed up and tried to fix things out , apologized, and got another family room for our friends. However, nothing can erase all the discomfort and inconvenience of the employees working there! They were the most unaccommodating and unhospitable , rude , ignorant and indifferent hotel employees we had ever seen tossing the problem to us and causing discomfort to our family and particularly to our kids whose trip abroad was the first one! A very bitter cold image of the hotel, of French people in general as it was our first contact with the people in the county! We would never recommend it, we definitely asked for a refund , the hotel is pretty far away from the center of Paris, it is not worth booking it anyway !
