Même s’il est un peu retiré du centre-ville à 10 minutes de la ville et 15 minutes de la plage, nous avons beaucoup aimé notre séjour d’un semaine en janvier. Notre appartement était spacieux et éclairé, très propre et bien maintenu, au 3ème étage avec vue sur la piscine et au loin la végétation.Le service au petit déjeuner a toujours été poli, même si les 5 choix peuvent devenir routiniers et copieux sur les longs séjours. Les petits déjeuners sur la terrasse, de même quelques soupers, ont été agréables, et le service du 5 à 7 tout à la hauteur de nos attentes. Il peut être prudent de ne pas choisir d’appartement avec vue sur la rue, vu l’achalandage et le bruit en soirée. Nous étions sur place alors que les familles costa-ricaines sont aussi en vacance (de novembre à janvier, avant le retour en classe), mais la présence des enfants n’a pas eu de déconvenues, alors que certains jours nous utilisions la piscine plutôt que la plage. À la plage , avec nos amis, nous pouvions loués des chaises et des parasols négociés à 10, 000 colones plutôt que 12 000 colones d’un Localito face à un hôtel et ****** où la plage était notamment moins pierreuses. Nous avons aussi pris un souper à prix fixe dev3 500 colones au Soda Garbarotos à côté de l’hôtel où le poulet frit était fort gouteux avec le riz et les plantains, un breuvage et un petit dessert.Seule écueil, l’ascenseur est tombé en panne sur la fin de séjour ce qui nous occasionnait un détour pour accéder à l’autre ascenseur. Pour une raison, nous avons voulu voir les prix pour une période équivalente l’an prochain mais les taris offerts étaient hors norme, comme si on attendait un très fort achalandage. Plutôt que de réserver via Booking la prochaine fois, nous avons que l’hôtel offre une tarification promotionnelle très intéressante sii on les contacte directement, par exemple US$110 pour 10 nuits, jusqu’à $99 pour nuits.(Plan vacacionales). Nous recommandons cet hôtel pour son prix, la qualité du séjour et un accès assez raisonnables.

Selina Jaco is the best location in Costa Rica! They are a top surf hotel with a vibe that matches. It is so different than the other Selina locations in the best way. The highlight is Tortuga Surf Camp! Selina has set itself apart and raised the bar with Tortuga Surf Camp creating their base camp there. Mike and the instructors are the best in Jaco. Tortuga works with beginners to seasoned surfers. My surfing has improved so much and I love working with them. I am so lucky to learn from people who absolutely love sharing their passion. The location is perfect and being able to go do a surf lesson on an amazing beach break with top instructors or rent a board and come back in to get work done is a plus! Tortuga Surf Camp has a weekly survival apnea workshop in the pool that takes has taken my water confidence to the next level. Mike has a passion for the water that shows in every lesson and interaction. Their photographer, Ivan, offers outstanding drone videos and photos for purchase with each lesson. I loved documenting my progress! I’m already planning my next trip back! The campus is beautiful and peaceful. The location is amazing ! Right on the beach with welcome drinks and breathtaking sunsets every night. The pool is amazing where you can eat drink and relax. The staff is just as amazing! Always something to do and so close to restaurants and fun nightlife.

We stayed at the Hotel Tramonto from Feb 13 to Feb 22, 2023. I cannot begin to praise this hotel enough. It is a small hotel across the street from the beach, with a pool, restaurant, outdoor patio and clean spacious rooms. The entire staff at this hotel were very acomodating to make our stay most memorable. The hotel offers complimentary breakfast which was very good, as well as all day dining with a fantastic menu and excellent prices. We were in Room 119 with a pool view and very convenient for us, especially since I have a bad knee and needed to be as close to everything as possible. The Housekeeping Staff kept our room immaculate. The entire hotel was also very clean. The Reception and Restaurant Staff were always most welcoming. We had dinner most nights at the hotel with our daughter and boyfriend who recommended that we stay here. It is a 10 minute drive to Jaco. We were very happy choosing Hotel Tramonto, and will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Costa Rica. .
