We stayed at Fort Rajwada on in late Jan, and while the property itself is beautiful and the staff were kind, our stay was significantly impacted by a large wedding event taking place at the same time. We were not informed of this in advance, either by the hotel or our booking agent, and this lack of transparency made for an uncomfortable and disappointing experience. Throughout our stay, access to various areas of the hotel was restricted, and we often had to ask staff for assistance just to move through shared spaces like the lobby. Loud music continued well into the night, and we were unable to enjoy advertised amenities such as the pool and games room. The atmosphere felt exclusive to the wedding party, and as regular guests, we felt out of place and undervalued. We chose not to immediately post a review, as we felt it was more appropriate to raise our concerns directly with the hotel. We received a very thoughtful and apologetic response from the General Manager, who acknowledged the issues and generously offered either a full refund or a complimentary stay in the future. Given that we live halfway across the world and would be unlikely to return soon, we opted for the refund. Unfortunately, despite multiple follow-ups over the following months, we never heard back, no updates, no resolution. It’s disappointing to have our concerns acknowledged in writing and then ignored when it came time to follow through. We are only sharing this now because we made every effort to resolve it privately. We genuinely hope the hotel improves its communication with guests about on-site events, as it is a lovely property that deserves to be enjoyed peacefully.
