Charming Cottage in the Heart of the Historic District. Wonderful Getaway

Everything was exactly as described. The snacks were a welcome surprise. Outside porch and sitting area were wonderful. 5 stars!

2025 Mardi Gras Blast We've been coming to Jefferson for 3 years now and this place and the weather was the best so far!!! We absolutely loved the cozy and charming cottage. We loved the neat little hang out room and the record player. We could tell Anna must be a book lover, there were plenty of novels to read. The King size bed was very comfortable, and Anna had left us snacks, wonderful chocolate pralines and even milk! It was also close enough to just walk to all the shops and Annie SkinnersDefinitely we will be booking this place again.

Best Location This charming cottage has everything you need. Full kitchen, washer/dryer, 2 bedrooms, 2 nice social areas and a great outside patio with a table, seating, etc. It is located right on the edge of the historic downtown You can basically walk everywhere. ANNA IS A GREAT HOST. She provided a nice basket of snacks, coffee, creamer, etc., and is very responsive. The king bed is very comfortable, the shower runs hot and full. This was our second stay and if we make it back to Jefferson? We'll try to get this place again!

Anna’s Cottages I very rarely have left anything less than 4 stars for a home. If you had asked us midway through our trip, we would have said we would have come back, however towards the end of the trip our answer has changed. I will start with the positives. The listing for this house does not do it justice at all. There is a lot of space for a smaller home, and it has two sitting rooms you don’t even see in the listing, so that was a pleasant surprise. Myself, my husband and our two young children stayed here very comfortably! The proximity to downtown Jefferson is unmatched, everything is within walking distance! Our first night/morning we did not have any wash clothes for our showers or hand towels, but they were dropped of later in the day. Sadly on the third night of our stay the AC went out and we spent two nights without it. It was 80 degrees in the house, with windows you can’t open. The homeowner did bring us fans, and sent out a maintenance guy but he didn’t seem to know what he was doing. He was not able to fix it until we were checking out and we didn’t hear back from host until well after we left. On our last night the smoke detector began chirping for low battery in the middle of the night and there was no replacement battery, so we ended our trip on a bad note. There were some cleaning issues with a lot of dust bunnies and dead bugs in corners. This may just have been an off week, but sadly I can’t rate the home higher and I’m not sure we would be interested in coming back.

Happy with stay The property was as described. We were within walking distance from everything. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Would recommend to anyone.

Great Location The location is great and I love the town of Jefferson. The home is okay. The layout is good; and there was plenty of room for the three of us and it worked out well. However, the house is a bit dated; the yard could use some TLC. There were a few cleanliness issue. The house needs a deep clean and a refresh. We also had a couple of roach incidents. As a Texan, I know we live with bugs but...no one wants to see bugs.
