Went to the room and it was not cleaned at all from the previous guest who checked out! Extremely disappointed by this because management should check each and every room before the key is issued to the new guest. Went back to the office and was issued a new room with an apology. Went to the second room and even though this was clean, it appeared that one of the bed was used and not made up! I didn't want to go back to the office so we just settled down. Room was spacious and it did come with microwave and refrigerator. Hotel should mention this online under the room detail as I didn't know about it. Free internet was good but the instruction given was not correct. First, you have to connect to the hotel SSID. After that it will open up a new window where you enter user ID and password that was given to you with room key. Overall, room definitely needs update and fix. TV remote didn't work, bathroom exhaust fan was loud and distracting, bathroom had a cheap $1 night lamp but had a broken lamp, and room lamps that supposed to have 2 bulbs only had 1 bulb! Also, there was no hand towel in the bathroom and had to go to the front desk to get it. Here is the MAIN point to keep in mind. There is an ACTIVE freight TRAIN that goes right through Jefferson. Yes, MULTIPLE times at NIGHT! it was definitely loud and very noticeable. Very disruptive specially at night when you are sleeping. Unfortunately, it is not just this hotel where you will hear it. You will hear it no matter where you stay in Jefferson! Keep this in mind and bring high quality air plugs, etc., if you want to relax and have a quiet and peaceful night.
