Chambre exceptionnelle avec vue et balcon. Piscine et restaurant magnifique. Accueil du propriétaire et personnel surtout mahindra fabuleux . Rien à dire on se sens comme à la maison. Petit déjeuner copieux et très varie. Dîner du soir parfait

Les chambres sont très spacieuses et propres. La vue sur Kandy est très belle. Le personnel est très serviable et on s'occupe vraiment bien de vous. La piscine à débordement est magnifique ! La nourriture était très bonne - malheureusement, tous les plats du menu n'étaient pas disponibles. Nous pouvons entièrement recommander cet hébergement.

La Villa Shenandoah est un hôtel fantastique près de Kandy. Il est situé sur les hauteurs de la ville et vous offre une vue fantastique depuis votre chambre, la piscine ou la terrasse du restaurant. Le propriétaire et le personnel sont très sympathiques et serviables. Vous pouvez vous y rendre pour un excellent service (transport jusqu'à Kandy, organisation d'un train jusqu'à Ella, transport jusqu'à Nuwara Eliya). M. Dinuk (le propriétaire) nous a également aidé avec un problème avec notre prochain logement, pour lequel nous vous remercions encore ! La chambre était spacieuse, le wifi et la climatisation excellents et la douche agréable. L'hôtel possède un très bon restaurant et propose un excellent petit déjeuner. L'hôtel dispose également d'un service de blanchisserie, ce qui était certainement le bienvenu après presque deux semaines de voyage au Sri Lanka :-) Nous pouvons certainement recommander cet endroit !

Nous avons passé deux nuits lors de notre circuit dans ce petit paradis. Nous avons réservé deux des bungalows extrêmement spacieux avec une vue imprenable sur Kandy. En raison de la situation actuelle, nous étions les seuls clients de l'hôtel. L'hôtel est géré par deux familles et ne dispose que de 5 chambres (bâtiment principal et bungalows) - tout est très exclusif et familier. Nous avons pu rencontrer un des propriétaires et il nous a raconté l'histoire de la maison. La villa appartenait à l'origine à un photographe animalier suédois. Il travaillait en Inde, mais était toujours en vacances dans sa villa de Kandy. Il a spécialement planté tous les arbres appartenant au jardin de l'hôtel. À son décès en 1986, son fils reprend la maison mais la vend aux deux familles en 1988. Et c'est un hôtel depuis 2014. L'un des bungalows était autrefois son bureau - tout simplement super excitant quand un hôtel a une si grande histoire. Et les propriétaires sont très gentils et sympathiques et partagent l'histoire avec les invités. Nous avons pris le petit déjeuner et le dîner à l'hôtel - c'était super ! Tout! Super savoureux, super frais et le service était incomparable. Tous les souhaits étaient lus dans nos yeux avant même de pouvoir être exprimés. La qualité de la nourriture et du café était excellente. Ce que nous avons trouvé particulièrement génial : tous les aliments ont été achetés et préparés sur commande, donc rien n'est stocké inutilement - très durable ! Nous avons été impressionnés ! La piscine à débordement avec vue sur Kandy est bien sûr le point fort : elle a été ouverte il y a seulement 2 ans. Et c'est tout simplement fantastique. Super propre et bonne température. Des shakes à la mangue et des sandwichs ont été livrés sur commande directement à la piscine. Dans l’ensemble, les deux journées ont été parfaites ! La seule chose que vous devriez probablement savoir : l'hôtel n'avait pas de générateur au moment de notre voyage, mais nous avons eu un délicieux dîner aux chandelles pendant la coupure de courant habituelle du soir. Mais il pourrait vraiment y avoir des choses pires qu’un dîner aux chandelles en plein air. :) Et la pression de l'eau dans la douche pourrait être meilleure - des moustiquaires seraient également utiles. Mais c'est une plainte à un niveau élevé. :)

Nous avions la villa avec une terrasse et une belle vue sur Kandy. Le personnel est très sympathique et serviable. Nous avons également apprécié y dîner. Il était servi en terrasse. Le petit déjeuner était également très savoureux. Fortement recommandé.

Villa Shenandoah overlooks Kandy city and is located high above surrounded by jungle with local monkeys that visit from time to time. The staff are helpful and friendly and I was looked after by the owner who organised a day trip of Kandy which was action packed, as well as driving me to my next location the following day. The pool was pleasant to swim in and dinner was taken on a small terrace. My room was in the main building and very large but a little run down. It did have a fridge though as well as a/c and the usual coffee/tea facilities. As a solo traveller I felt safe and cared for.

A beautiful place to stay when you visit Kandy. The villa offers very large rooms with a beautiful view of the mountains.It has a very nice garden with a very very nice pool. The restaurant makes delicious food! Try the prawn curry :) Very friendly people!

We had a great stay at Shenandoah. The breakfast and dinner options were both great, the room was nice and the pool is fantastic with an amazing view over the mountains. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We went on several excursions with Dinuk and he was amazing. Really interesting and knowledgable and very friendly too. I would definitely recommend staying here and travelling with Dinuk to experience Kandy and the surrounding areas!

This hotel is a 10! Super great deal for the money. The breakfast was Huge and delicious! The rooms spacious, clean and comfortable. All rooms have a fridge, AC, hot water and large bed. The mattress was thick and perfect firmness for both my girlfriend and I. The staff and owner were so friendly. They helped us with everything we neededneeded, especially Mahendren. Everything on their menu was fresh and a good price. The hotel is located high up from the city in a peaceful hill top overlooking mountains and nature. They have four rooms and a gorgeous pool. With so few rooms it feels like you have the place to yourself. We relaxed by the pool most of the day and Mahendren brought us drinks, food and water to the pool or our hotel room. Our room was separated from the main home. It had a patio with a gorgeous very of the mountains. We highly recommend the mango lassi and passion fruit mojito. We met two other couples who all raved about the hotel and commented that it looked even better than the pictures! They only wish they stayed longer LOL. Support locals and stay here. Things to note: You are surrounded by nature so we had a few ants inside the room but they were no bother at all. The outside lights infront of our room atracted insects and could see bats flying by for a night snack. The entire hotel area power shuts off from around 6:30-7:30pm. At first we thought it was a nuisance but it is was the perfect time star gazing. At about 8 am some birds were pecking on the windows. I guess they thought their reflection was another bird haha. Overall highly recommend staying here.
