I recently had the most memorable stay at Norbu The Montanna, and what truly elevated the experience—beyond the breathtaking views—was the exceptional food and the heartfelt hospitality that came with it. Every day brought something delicious to the table, quite literally. Chef Anirban and his team were absolutely incredible—not only did he whip up amazing meals daily, but he went out of his way to connect with us through food. Being Bengali, we were overjoyed when he surprised us with home-style dishes like Luchi and authentic Bengali style Biryani, made specially just for us. It felt like a piece of home in the middle of the mountains. To top it all, he curated a stunning Course ******* meal that was as authentic as it was flavorful. Each dish was carefully prepared, and the spread was a journey in itself—an absolute highlight of our trip. More than just great food, it was the personal touch, the effort to make us feel truly welcome, that made this stay really special. We left with full hearts and even fuller stomachs! Highly recommend this place for anyone who wants not just a stay, but an experience!

Norbu the Montana has sweeping views of the Dhauladhar Mountain ranges, is nestled amidst a lush green, verdant valley, and offers an unforgettable culinary experience where food takes the centre stage of your travel! Words will fall short for the exceptional food that was served by Chef Anirban who not only rustled up delicious food with MasterChef level presentations, but also ensured that we felt at home with impeccable services, with a personal touch and always a disarming smile on his face! It goes without saying that being Bengali ourselves, he ensured that we were served a hearty dose of our Luchi, Koraishutir Kochuri, Chholar Dal, Biryani with Alu and Egg ( he even went to buy the meat himself to ensure the perfect cut of meat served in Bengali style Biryani!). It is rare to see this level of perfection and love for his/her craft, and we were impressed beyond words to witness his commitment. I can write for pages but will end with our last night experience of savouring a 8-course ******* meal , a smorgasbord of delectable dishes that was so much more than food! It was a two hour epicurean journey with stories around ******* food traditions and culture, complemented by beautifull decor and artistic food presentations. Every course was thoughtfully curated keeping our palate in mind, delicate flavours accentuated by fresh herbs and vegetables grown in the garden inside the hotel premises. The food seemed like a symphony of flavours, with every bite telling the story of a rich cultural legacy, prepared by an artist who has taken food to a sublime level of art! Thank you Chef Anirban and team, I don't remember when I last wrote such an effusive review, it is truly heartfelt! You and your amazing team made us feel special and took extra care of our parents. We can't wait to go back!

Our stay in Norbu Montana was outstanding. Chef Anirban and his team made our stay memorable. His culinary presentations were terrific. Pallav and his other colleagues went out of their way to be hospitable to us. I hope the authorities register their efforts and reward them for it.

Good property with ample amount of greenery and space around the rooms. Generous food menu and chef's personal attention is appreciated. Could improve the pool and surroundings around it. I'd appreciate.

The first thing that wows you is the view. And the second thing would be hospitality. The F&B team is better than even some of the (Taj) palace hotels. One of us has some dietary restrictions and the chef, Mr. Hateshwar worked around those to make sure that this member was well taken care of. From discussing what would she like to eat, to sourcing “safe” options for her, Chef Hateshwar truly went above and beyond. ***** with the F&B manager, Mr. Sharma, the entire team is exceptional- attentive to customers, prompt, and extremely courteous and helpful; notably Mr. Rajesh Thakur and Ms. Vaishali who took us for the Nature Walk around the hotel and shared native wisdom about plants with us. They even have a recreation room with a few books and board games. On the flip side though, are: 1/ some design issues. Eg, each room is quite spacious and the bed faces the “view” but this means if you decide to watch some TV, there’s no place to sit and watch. It is installed facing the door, and is only slightly tiltable, and there’s no chair or sofa either that can be placed in front of TV. Similarly, there is no bin placed in the bathroom, the sink taps are too close to the sink and that’s an awkward angle again. The balcony is beautiful but lack of any curtain or screens means lack of privacy, and on hot sunny mornings, it is blazing. 2/ Gym is cramped and yoga mat was dirty. 3/ the hotel is quite far from the main city, so if you don't have your own vehicle like we didn't, it is expensive to hire a cab for every trip unless you are doing a whole day trip. There could easily have been a free hotel shuttle to pick and drop from the city centre at fixed timings. 4/ Last, the checkout staff misinformed us about using our neucoins to settle the bill. Maybe some updated info is required there as well. Small tweaks is all it would take to make it a truly 5* experience. So pricing wise- a bit overpriced at the moment. But overall, a delightful experience
