We, husband, myself and two teens, stayed in the maisonette, which was right on the pool, very large and well equipped (we used the toastie maker lots!). The air con was good but you needed to keep windows and doors shut for it to work which we got used to. Beds and pillows super comfortable. It was cleaned every day and linen/towels refreshed a few times during the week. We took with us from home some travel coat hangers, citronella candles, coffee, Nutella, rock salt which all came in useful, to save expense at supermarket. We went straight to the Bazar supermarket in Sami after our first Greek meal to stock up for the week. 2ltr of white and red wine €4.50! Owner, whose name I forget, was lovely. He gave us a local taxi firm’s number which we used lots. Pool was fab, quiet and we often had it to ourselves. It did close between 3-5.30pm but we went to the beach or had a siesta ourselves in that time. We ate lunch on the table by the pool on most days and helped ourselves to a few basil leaves that grew in huge plants all around. It was lovely! A few mins walk to bakery and the stone beach (beach shoes vital here) and five mins walk to a few tavernas. The walk into Sami was twenty mins which was fine. Plenty of tavernas (recommend booking the Contestina on Monday for Greek music and dancing) We got a taxi back on most nights €7. One day we walked the five min walk to the Melissani Lake (go before 11am as the queue was huge once the coach trips arrived). We bought a joint ticket to the lake and cave. Popped back for the maisonette to freshen up and from there we got a taxi the Drogarati Cave €15. There’s a taverna there where we ate lunch and used their swimming pool. Lovely! We spent another day at the pool at the campsite, ten min walk on the way to Sami, this was a larger pool and our son could jump and dive etc. we bought drinks and lunch and went into the sea straight from there which was good and we didn’t pay for beds around the pool. All in all, we highly recommend here for a chilled, relaxing, typically Greek holiday.
