Mandola Rosa at Riviera Olympia, A Grecotel Resort to Live

The staff are very friendly and greet us every time. They provided a baby bath, baby steamer, and baby cot, which is convenient when traveling with an infant. The housekeepers come to clean every day, including changing duvet covers, mopping the floor, and cleaning the toilet. The view from the room is breathtaking! I feel like I’m living in a dream. The hotel breakfast buffet was good—fresh and yummy. However, the food from room service is often cold and not very good, but that’s okay. It’s open until 11:00 pm, just in case of a food emergency.

Wonderfull people, special thanks to beautiful Ana We went there 3 times during our stay, with 3 kids and with their special needs (gluten free). We were looked after perfectly and had wonderfull time. Thank you!

Location was very central, close to the airport and easy to get to all parts of the island. Staff were extremely helpful. We forgot to bring the euro plug adaptor and were using the usb port to charge our devices. The usb port stopped working due to a powercut and the staff provided us with a plug to charge our devices. The manager is around everyday and working hard to ensure guests are taken care of and everything is smoothly.”

We spent a wonderful week at the hotel Mandola Rosa. Our butler Chris made our stay memorable. Chris was very courteous, punctual and he really went the extra mile to make our vacation superb. Chris definitely deserves five stars on his own. Everyone was very helpful, pleasant and happy! Our villa was always clean, food in the restaurants well prepared. Alex organized a boat trip for us. Made sure everything was on time, easy. In this hotel, dreams come true!

My Terrible rating is based mainly due to our kids gluten intolerance, if you do not have gluten intolerance, slide down below where the rest of the hotel is rated. I have asked the hotel prior our arrival if they have gluten free options - the hotel responded that in every restaurant is possible to get gluten-free option. When arrived in the hotel - this is true, but the options are just unacceptable. In buffet-style restaurant where there are plenty of foods - the only gluten free option were grilled vegetables. Even roasted meat is marinated in marinade which contains gluten which is really strange. Also, potatoes, etc. And when you arrive at such a restaurant you do not wish to wait another 15-30 minutes to be prepared something gluten free since you already are hungry. And honestly, you cannot eat French fries for every meal. At a la carte restaurants - you have to ask for everything, the allergens are just not market at the menus which is also for a person quite terrible experience. We also ordered gluten-free ice-cream as room service and it was delivered dipped in something which looked like gluten biscuits. So overall if you have gluten intolerance or allergy, please, in order to not be disappointed just avoid this hotel campus, they are just not ready for us. On the other side - if you do not have gluten problem the hotel is very nice, we were welcomed really nicely with welcome drinks (many types – you can see in pictures). All personnel are trying to be helpful; we really liked the sceneries; it really looks like on the photos (which is not always usual). We had the Delos villa - the only slight disappointment is that is not so private - we could see the neighbors because the dividing hedge was just too much cut, I would personally prefer more privacy. The campus is way too wide - there is not map, they will suggest you their app which doesn’t work really well all the time. Yet if you like walks its really nice big campus. The beach is ideal for small kids (even small kids could play in the sea because it’s very shallow for long time). When you book a villa you have also private gazebo - yet if you manage to get there (there are no signs and you have to ask the personnel how to get there), there is no map where yours is (I mean the Gazebo), but once you get around everything is really very nice. The beach is really sandy (no pebbles, not imported sand or whatsoever) and it seem private – not overcrowded and really very nice beach. So overall I would rate the hotel fantastic if you do not have any food intolerance, yet having the gluten intolerance, it was really big disappointment. You really do not want to spend your holidays asking all the time somebody about gluten, there are already hotels having marked everything everywhere what is suitable for people with certain food disabilities and are ready for these people much more. Zu aller erst: Unser Aufenthalt war klasse. Das Mandola Rosa selbst ist eine Oase der Ruhe in einem wunderschönen griechischen Bau mit wenigen Suiten und diversen Villen. Die Mitarbeiter kümmern sich mit. Leidenschaft um alle Gäste. Das Hotel liegt am feinsten Sandstrand von Kyllini mit 1,5km Länge zu schlendern. Dazu gibt es ein atemberaubendes Frühstück mit Blick auf den Sonnenaufgang, gepflegten Garten und Pool. Das war auch fur uns nach hunderten Reisen jeden Morgen wirklich außergewöhnlich. Leider gibt es ein Aber: das Hotel ist Teil eines größeren Resorts mit drei weiteren AI Hotels, die dringenden Renovierungsbedarf haben. Unweigerlich muss man für Spa, Gym, Pools mit Attraktionen oder den Aqua Park in diese Hotels, die im starken Kontrast zum Mandola Rosa stehen. Überall teils haarsträubender Renovierungsstau (Pools mit Schimmel, Zentimeter große Risse in Holzdielen und Boden, 50% des Attraktionen im Aqua Park defekt oder komplett undicht und verschimmelt). Dazu anscheinend viele All Inclusive Gäste, die im starken Kontrast zur Oase der Ruhe im Mandola Rosa stehen. Wir haben daher trotz Halbpension die Buffet Restaurants gemieden, die sehr hektisch und laut waren - obwohl das Essen eine sehr gute Qualität hatte.
