Had a perfect night there.Room was great and breakfast was delicious.A great stay

Jivan, un serveur au Lumbini café de l’Hotel Marshyangdi à Katmandou, m’a suggéré d’excellents plats typiques népalais en plus d’offrir un service attentionné, professionnel et bonne humeur. Le décor champêtre de l’endroit est aussi très agréable.

Visite de quelques jours très agréable après un trek de 18 jours. Très confortable, très bonne nourriture (dont un déjeuner continental délicieux), service super avec un personnel soucieux, poli et souriant. La sécurité est présente de jour comme de soir, ce qui est très rassurant. Merci!

- Le plus, cet hôtel est situé en plein dans le quartier touristique et commerçant de Thamel. - Le moyen, justement, il n’est que très moyen (pas d’eau chaude pour notre douche le premier jour), les chambres ont bien vécu, la robinetterie est d’un autre temps, les rideaux auraient vraiment besoin d’être lavés, dans notre première chambre, la lumière électrique était faiblarde (plusieurs interrupteurs étaient "out of order"... En règle générale, les chambres ne sont pas propres (moquettes et tapis sont usés et sales). - Le moins, cet hôtel est hyper bruyant (bruits des restaurants situés en dessous, bruits des gens qui dorment dans cet hôtel et qui ne savent pas se taire en regagnant leurs chambres, bruit des clim extérieures, bruits du quartier de Thamel...) - Le gros problème sur cet hôtel, est le manque récurrent d’eau chaude (sur 3 jours, un seul avec de l’eau chaude). - Autre point négatif, il faut réclamer du papier toilette à la réception, il ne viendrait pas à l’esprit des femmes de chambre de vous en mettre dans la chambre.

Marshyangdi Hotel experience was a highlight of our experience in Kathmandu where we stayed a total of 10 days in 2 stints. The staff at the desk was amazing, always ready to help with a wide variety of questions including buying a thermometer for me when I got sick and writing out a map to a store to find a specific type of Nepalese shirt. They were so friendly, truly engaged and listening, upbeat. Thank you Rubi and the other nice ladies! And our maid was so sweet and even did a little Nepalese dance for me after I told her I danced at breakfast with Malaysian group staying there. Another great thing was the dining room with huge breakfast provided with Nepalese food as well as granola, cold cereal, pancakes etc. My favorite thing was eating there and meeting other travelers from all over. I made new friends there from Malaysia whom I am still in contact with months later. There is a very friendly atmosphere. Oh also they gave us one of the luxury suites which was roomy, attractive, with full bathtub. You can leave your suitcases there while you travel elsewhere too which was so helpful. The bed was firm, not sure about other rooms.

Great experience staying at property so much good if we come again at Kathmandu than we will stay at same property restaurant service is unique

Service is great and the staff are all friendly and very helpful. Even if we came so late early morning, the staff and service are very OK and the food was just a-OK! Can recommend it to others to visit and enjoy the hotel and Nepal as a whole. I enjoyed my stay.

The property's location is a huge advantage, offering plenty to explore in the surrounding area. The ambiance is wonderful, with exceptional hospitality, delicious food, and incredibly helpful and informative staff. Special mention to Mr. Sunil Sreshta for his meticulous planning and arrangements, which were truly top-notch. Overall, we had a fantastic experience.

We visit Nepal for our long trek our first stay at Hotel Marshyangdi Thamel very nice experience entire property staff, ambience and food is fabulous. Specially staff Bibita and the head chef is very co operative staff is very polite we all friends are enjoying the stay

I stayed here before and after my trip to the Everest Base camp. I would say that the rooms are somewhat dated but clean and well maintained. I had some slight issues with my shower being extremely hot or cold, fairly hard to adjust, with no in between. AC was very cold, which I appreciated. I would rate the room at around a 3.5 star level, but I also stayed in the economical rooms with an expedited amount of value for the price. Much more premium suites and rooms are available, but I was happy with my single room. I particularly enjoyed and appreciated the level of service and care. The doorman helped me negotiate better taxi fares, the front desk employees were very helpful and friendly, even remembering my name from before I departed to the EBC trek. Bibita was very helpful when I ordered the buffet, helping me to understand different dishes and how to pair the breads, seasonings, explaining the sweets and so on. She even went above and bring helping to bring me berries sweets and paintings to counter the heart of the a la carte peppers. If you get the buffet, arrive early before the rush of the buffet as many visitors eat late. I recommend the tri color momo - chicken, veg, and buffalo. I was not feeling particularly well after my trek, so the hotel service and care was very helpful in recuperating and preparing for the next leg of my journey.
