Agios Gordios Beach Resort

We booked 7 nights here in September - the location is connected to a restaurant that plays very loud music until past midnight, then very drunk and loud patrons spill out of that restaurant. The location is in the middle of a tourist trap, food there is terrible. The room itself is very small, we rented the suite (2floors) so we can have extra space but were counting on the kitchen/sitting area outside next to the private pool as our main lounging area - they fail to mention that the pool is not heated. You may not need the heating in July/August, but come September, the water is absolutely freezing as night temperatures drop to 18-20 degrees. The main reason we rented the room there is that we wanted the private pool. Then, there's the smell in the room. Absolutely disgusting smell of sewage, completely unbearable. After telling the property manager about it, she said it was due to fresh caulking they had put in a recent bathroom renovation - total lie. Caulking doesn't smell like sewage. It turned out the weather in Corfu was announcing to be horrible the whole week we were there, so the morning after we arrived, we packed up our stuff and went to another destination and only returned to the hotel for our last night in Corfu. Had the weather been good, we would have left this hotel - between the smell, the cold pool we couldn't use, the noise from the restaurant and the drunk & loud patrons, we wouldn't have lasted. So many other great places to stay in Corfu, avoid this location and this hotel at all costs.

We stayed in this hotel for 6 nights in August and wished we had been able to stay longer. Check in was smooth (despite arriving much earlier than 2pm) and we were greeted by Viviane, who had already been in touch a week before to introduce herself and check our arrival time. She gave us her top tips on where to eat and drink (and they were good tips), took our luggage to a storage room and promised to text when the room was ready - explaining that she would make sure it was ready before 2pm as there was no reason not to get the cleaners on the case straight away. We received a message just after midday and were blown away by the location, the proximity of the sea and the design of the room. We had a Junior Suite with a plunge pool and it was perfect for us who were in need of a much needed rest to be able to read lots of books, take in the sunshine and enjoy the local cuisine. Staff were proactive (the cleaner noticed that the air conditioning wasn't working properly one morning and arranged for it to be looked at before she'd finished our room (just new batteries required for a remote) - this was something we were going to report the next time we popped out. The recommendations for somewhere to eat (Ortholithi for greek night and Ark on the sea front) were great recommendations and these are the two restaurants we went back to several times. You could not be closer to shops, bars and restaurants with the best sea views and wonderful service. The outdoor kitchen is a little delight and well equipped - we certainly didn't expect a coffee machine and a toastie maker! Viviane and her team really couldn't do enough for us and I highly recommend staying here. One slight note (and it's just a note) is that it wouldn't suit anyone with mobility issues. Some of the great places to go need to be accessed along a little wooden makeshift track along the beach. That's just a note about the resort itself and not the hotel. Superb hotel to which we will definitely go back.

£280 a night for a property they manage at the end of the strip above a restaurant. They had nothing left at their main place next to Romantic Palace so offered this other place when we booked. To say they were economical with the description would be an understatement worthy of an Oscar. Stayed one night, it was awful bearing in mind everywhere else we stayed for our friend’s wedding after this s**t show was great at around a third of this price. I’m sure if you stay at their main place you’ll be absolutely fine but not sure they should be trusted as the whole experience was based on them hiding reality (lying) and just getting us in there to see if we’d just roll over and hand the money over which was around £1,350 for five nights. Worst experience since I was in Magaluf in 1997 and that’s the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. 😂

Wow! What can I say. We have just spent a week in this gorgeous property and I don't have one bad word to say about it. The customer service is outstanding, Maria is one in a million and will do her best to help you with any queries. From room changes to booking you a taxi, she really is an asset to the resort. Thank you for everything Maria, from the bottom of our hearts. The location is superb and you will not get a better spot in Agios Gordios. Its on the beach and next door to 2 great restaurants. The rooms are beautifully decorated, very modern and kept spotlessly clean by the team of cleaners. The design is superb, a lovely patio outside with a kitchen that leads into the plunge and infinity pool. You can literally sit or lay there all day and people watch. But still feel very private. The pools are great to cool down in and are cleaned daily. Ask for a middle room as the pools are much bigger. The view of the beach and the sunset is outstanding. There is a rose garden that separates your pool to the beach and the smell of these with the breeze coming off the beach is beautiful, so relaxing. Oh and you can't beat falling asleep to the sound of the waves. All the bars and restaurants are footsteps away, you will not be disappointed in this complex. We can't wait to go back. The hotel is perfectly located to the beach and restaurants and is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. The hot tub is an excellent added bonus. Maria is lovely and so helpful even booking our transfers. The room was spotlessly clean and the cleaner made sure the room was spotless everyday and that we had fresh towels and bedding. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
