Barrow Lodge

Clodaugh is a goddess of hospitality. If you want to see someone in the tourism industry who is great at her job, come here. We had an apartment. Nice deck for morning tea. Good view of the water. Unique tree with a natural cistern in the middle. Nice water patio too. Walking distance to Tralee golf course, though steep uphill for about 300 meters.

We had a lovely stay here! The views and accomodation are amazing! Breakfast exceeded our expectations! Highly recommended!

This is our 4th visit to Barrow Lodge and I can only say what a pleasure it is. The host Clodagh is a total delight, she goes out of her way to make your stay a wonderful relaxing time. The position and views are 2nd to none, the breakfast would not be out of place in any 5 star hotel. Add to this the most comfortable beds and top quality bedding, all this at a price I think is very good. We stay at many hotels around the world and this small property is amongst the best and our favourite.

We were recommended Barrow Lodge for our stay in Tralee, wow, in all of my 70 years, I have never experienced a welcoming as incredible as this! Clodagh, who owns Barrow Lodge, is so warm and welcoming and is everything you have ever heard about how friendly and beautiful the Irish community are. The rooms are lovely and spacious and clean, the beds are large and comfortable, as are the pillows and the view from the rooms are a pleasure on the eyes. Our breakfast was wonderful; Alex the cook is not only a brilliant cook, she too is a warm lovely lady and her home made bread and cakes are so tasty. If you are travelling to the most beautiful part of Ireland, this is the place to base yourself and if you like golf (not for us) it is five minutes walk from Tralee golf course. So basically you’ll be in heaven. But my recommendation, is that to feel welcome and wanted and relaxed, Clodagh is the person. When we return there is no question of where we are staying, it’s Barrow Lodge, 100%. Thank you Clodagh and Alex, you made my wife and I, and our friends feel so welcome, you warmed our hearts xxx.

What a wonderful experience we had at Barrow Lodge. The host is such a wonderful lady. Clodagh was just lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Her staff are wonderful as well. The food is magnificent (Thankyou Alex) The rooms are exceptional, clean, very comfortable and beautifully maintained. The location was easy to find and get to with stunning views. Highly recommended staying at Barrow Lodge. Clodagh is a lovely lady. We hit it off with her immediately. She is so nice and had given us fantastic memories to take with us. I can’t say enough about this property and especially the owner. Very personable and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the recommendation for dinner was exactly the cap off of a wonderful day. The bed was warm and inviting and comfortable. Loved sitting at the window looking out at the sea. Great place to unwind.
