An Dooneen, the Hurley Farm B&B

I was an atypical guest for Mary and John in that I stayed for nine nights with the intention of doing genealogy and family history research in the area. My stay could not have been better. The suite was immaculate and the food was fresh prepared daily and both delicious and plentiful and the surrounding scenery is some of the best in Ireland. But that was not all. Mary and John's hospitality was exceptional. By the end of my stay I felt as if I was part of their family. It was truly a pleasure and a privilige to stay with them. I would recommend An Doonean to anyone, single or group, overnight only or longer who plans to visit the Dingle Peninsula. Quiet and out of the hustle and bustle of the more touristy places in nearby Dingle, you won't be sorry if you stay here. I know I'll be back anytime I visit the area in the future. Boston Bill

Simply wonderful, such a warm welcome in a fabulous environment. We loved every minute of our short stay and Mary’s hospitality and generosity was incredible. The homemade warm scones at breakfast were such a treat! The facilities were more than adequate and everything was spotlessly clean

AAA set us up with the "An Dooneen B&B" about 5-6 miles out on the Dingle peninsula in a true village setting. Our window views were filled with rolling green hills, stone walls with cattle and sheep. We could see the sea as well. Mary, and her lovely daughters provided an excellent full Irish breakfast in a quiet and warm home setting. While Dingle, with all its charm was a short drive away, our accommodations were peaceful and allowed us to experience another side of Ireland. We highly recommend a visit to the Hurley family farm setting .

We stayed for two nights and this definitely was the comfiest bed our whole trip, and the quite easily the best breakfast too, and we had lots. The smoked salmon and traditional Irish breakfasts were both incredible. I also cook a lot, and now that I’m back home, I have already tried to no avail to make brown bread that delicious. I can keep trying though! The host is very kind and had lots of good suggestions for things to do in Dingle, I only wish we had more time. I hope I can come back!
