Alexander's Gay Lesbian Guesthouse (Adult Only 21+)

Been going here for 14 years. Outstanding staff - especially helpful front desk/concierge service, and housekeeping, breakfast and bartenders - all terrific. Always super clean, comfortable beds, good vibe, nice poolside. Not too big. Location is excellent in old town - quiet but walkable to water, Duval st etc. nice solid breakfast, always something hot like a strata or omelet, French toast etc.

We had an amazing stay at this open-minded and friendly guesthouse in Key West. The staff and managers all make a tremendous effort to make every guest feel special. We enjoyed our time with fellow guests, and the place is good for couples as well as individual travelers. The rooms are delicate, the breakfast amazing and nothing can beat the hospitality. We are not in doubt where to stay on our next visit to Key West.

Always a lovely time at Alexander's. We've been regulars for over 20 years. The staff is the best, the crowd is friendly, breakfast is warm and inviting, and the rooms are comfy. It is clearly the best inn of its type on the island. You won't go wrong with it.

We have been staying at Alexander’s 17 years!! The staff treats us like Family! The place is always immaculate and the rooms are top quality!! We Love Laura, Tim, Robyn, Michael and Roman!! The Breakfast, bar and cleaning staff go out of their way to make the stay the perfect paradise!!

Fabulous as always! Wonderful breakfasts, scrupulously clean, comfortable, well appointed room, and a caring and attentive staff! A longer walk from the hustle and bustle of Duval Street, but that makes it quieter and it’s easy to rent bikes from Alexander’s and bike around. We will be back!! Thank you for everything!

We've stayed at Alexander's probably 25-30 times in the last 10 years, but I think this was the first time we've stayed in December. We usually stay in room #10, but this time treated ourselves to #16. Needless to say not only was the Guest House decorated for Old St. Nick, but the entire town was as well. All the staff members had that extra Christmas spirit on top of their natural charm and attentiveness. How much charm and how attentive...let me tell you...We got there on a Tuesday around 11:30, just missing the breakfast which stopped at 11:00am., and were staying until Saturday. There are usually some nice muffins and breads left over from breakfast that they will leave out for the guest to finish off throughout the day. I know from experience that every Sunday morning they serve made to order omelets of your choice. I said to Paula, the lady who usually runs the breakfast, that the only thing I was sorry about was that we wouldn't be there for her omelets on Sunday. She immediately said, without any hesitation, "would you like for me to make you an omelet now. It's no problem." I immediately said yes and a couple of minutes later had a delicious ham and cheese homemade omelet most courteously made by Paula. Do you think you'd get that kind of thoughtfulness from any other guest house? Of course not. It's the treatment like this for their guest that will always make Alexander's Guest House the finest guest house on the island of Key West. Hat's off to every single worker at Alexanders, but you know it always starts at the top. That would be Raul and Orlando, the owners and Laura the longtime General Manager. Each year, such an amazing event! The staff are always welcoming, smiling and making sure that every day seems like a resort spa day. Can’t wait to go back in 2024 as Alexander’s is beyond exceptional.

Friendliest staff ever. Very attentive to service and meeting guests’ needs. Comfortable beds. Pleasant atmosphere throughout. Great daily breakfast with lots of fruit, baked goods and entree and friendly happy hour every day .. both included.

Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. The room was lovely. Breakfast was great - a littlest e different every morning. Fruit, muffins, meats and cheeses, and something hot. Happy Hour in the late afternoon. Nice to meet other guests. It was our first time in Key West and Tim and Robin were very helpful with suggestions and reservations for dinner. We walked everywhere except one restaurant that was a bit far in dress clothes. A number of the other guests with whom we spoke have been coming for years - a testament to the wonderful sense of welcome and care we found the moment we pulled up. Property is well-taken care of. Staff always tidying, cleaning, etc. Loved our stay and would have loved to stay another day.
