Very friendly and efficient service. Immaculately clean room. Hotel is right in the heart of Killarney. Highly recommend!

Could not say enough a little gem one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in

Hôtel 4 étoiles situé en plein centre ville. L'hôtel actuel date de 1926 et est toujours la propriété de la même famille. Petite chambre (sur la réservation il est indiqué 30m² pour une chambre double classique mais sa taille réelle est bien inférieure d'autant plus qu'elle est mansardée). Environnement très bruyant : la chambre donne sur des groupes de froid et pour ne rien arranger il y avait une fête foraine à proximité. Comme il n'y a pas de climatisation dans les chambres classiques, il faisait chaud (et avec le bruit, impossible d'ouvrir). Bonne literie mais lit étroit. Salle de bains avec baignoire. La décoration et le mobilier qui datent de l'origine, confèrent aux parties communes un aspect chaleureux et vintage mais par contre vieillot dans les chambres (du moins à mon avis dans la 211). Encore une conséquence de l'âge de l'établissement : l'insonorisation des chambres est exécrable. Très bon petit-déjeuner qui se prend dans une salle à la décoration, là encore, d'un autre âge. Pas de parking. Il faut utiliser les parkings publics à parcmètre (payant de 8h30 à 18h30). En conclusion, très bien pour l'emplacement, le petit-déjeuner et l'accueil et beaucoup moins bien pour les chambres et le bruit ce qui donne au final 3 macarons et un assez bon rapport qualité-prix. Le charme vintage a ses limites et est appréciable quand c'est réussi comme à l'Imperial à Cork, mais là c'est vraiment trop. Ne mérite pas à mon avis 4 étoiles.

L'hotel est magnifique et tres bien situé au centre ville avec un parking. Les chambres sont spacieuses et les lits très grands et confortables. Nous avons adoré l'accueil chaleureux et le petit déjeuner très qualitatif et varié. Nous recommandons Arbutus pour séjourner à Killarney

The Arbutus is a charming and quaint hotel with fantastic amenities and staff. Our room was so spacious with a king bed, sleeper sofa, two winged chairs and a writing desk. The bathroom was quite large with a separate stall shower and bath tub. Everything was immaculate. The front desk staff were so friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcome. Kudos to Michelle and Ina and Emer and a great big thank you as well. Breakfast each day was a delight as were the servers- a special shout out to Lisa and Valentina. The bar was a wonderful perk - a spot we frequented each evening for the warm ambiance and fantastic Irish music. My husband and I were elated to have stayed at the Arbutus during our first trip to the Emerald Isle. Its location was ideal. I would be remiss in not thanking Sean Buckley and his family for keeping this gem of a hotel the way it is - a hotel near and dear to his grandfather who established it all Those years ago.

This hotel is spotless and gorgeous! Staff is so warm and friendly. Thank you Ina for helping us with our reservation and for being so flexible! The furnishings and decor and so lovely you feel like you are home. Beds are so comfy and it’s quiet and peaceful even though you are in the heart of Killarney! It’s 20 feet from the 3 best restaurants in Killarney. This is one of my favorite hotels I have ever stayed in ! Thank you Arbutus and can’t wait to come back!!!

We were in the Arbutus for a celebration dinner. Nothing was too much trouble for Pat and the staff. They advised, suggested and helped me plan. We will be back to stay and take advantage of the great location in the centre of killarney. Thanks to all.

Our favorite hotel on our 4-city visit in Ireland was the Arbutus. It is a lush and cozy hotel with a wonderful 1940's feel with thee most comfortable beds and pillows ever. It made it hard to get up in the morning! We had spacious room with 3 beds and a small sitting room, and the bathroom had a shower AND tub! The shower door struggled to stay closed but otherwise everything a this hotel was wonderful with a car park located just behind it with ample parking available. Located in downtown Killarney we were able to walk or use the hop on/off red bus to see everything during our brie 3 day visit. Their breakfast offering was delicious and the staff was always helpful and friendly but be advised, they do lock the front door in the late evening so you may have to ring for the staff to come open it.

Stayed two nights with my spouse, and enjoyed everything about it except the bed size. This is minor, but worth mentioning for couples that like to share a bed, but need at least a queen size mattress to make it work well. The staff, to a person, were just the nicest and most professional. Michelle, at reception, was super accommodating and helpful, getting us into a room a little earlier than normal. This hotel is very well situated - within easy walking distance to great bars and restaurants. The attached pub, Buckley's was a favorite of our 17 days in Ireland! Breakfast was great, every day. Monika took such good care of us, and was so much fun to banter with! Even with the bed size being a bit small for our taste, we'll be back!

I will definitely stay there again next time I’m in the area. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of food to choose from. The hostess was very attentive. The bar within the hotel was great as well. The bar tender was very friendly. She gave us suggestions for when we moved on to Dublin. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

This is a really nice old world feel hotel. I stayed in the triple room with friends. The room was very comfortable and there was plenty of room. The lady at reception was very helpful. Breakfast was served in a lovely room, and it was very good. There is a fee paying car park right out the back of the hotel, which was perfect. Very central, walking distance to the town centre.

Our one night stay in this perfectly located hotel was simply 'amazing'. From the minute we walked in the door we felt so welcome, we were able to check in an hour early, which was lovely as it was a miserable day. Our room was fabulous, clean, warm and charming. Fluffy towels, and a gorgeous comfy bed.the reception staff must be commended as they were quite honestly the most welcoming and helpful we have ever encountered. A taxi was booked for us to go to our concert in the INEC and nothing was a bother. Breakfast was gorgeous, plenty of choice, piping hot and freshly cooked. I had the omelette and it was fab. The decor and beautiful authentic old furniture gave the place a magical feeling. We will definitely stay here again. We'll worth it. We'll done to all in the Arbutus,

Classic hotel with lots of antiques. Fine big bedroom & bathroom. It was very clean & very centrally located. Paid parking at the back of the hotel. Lovely dining room for breakfast with white linen, laid out classically with lovely silver milk jug. Also a great selection of cold meats alongside the breakfast. Staff very friendly. Buckleys bar had live music and the pub was heaving & had a great atmosphere. We will definitely visit again & would highly recommend
