Solo traveller. Found all of the staff super-polite and attentive, save one - the young lady behind the bar in the panorama café on the 8th floor, who found it difficult to tell her face not to show the disdain she was clearly feeling when serving me, even though I try to be as polite as possible in all interactions, because; white, straight, English male = the devil right now. The room was spacious and the bed comfy, a balcony was also a welcome addition on the humid nights. Be aware that if you have neighbours that are ...less than sympathetic to the disturbance they cause to others, with regards to noise late at night, then you will suffer, as I did. The concierge, to her credit, did try and call them (which I heard) but, alas, no dice. Cue zero sleep, for two nights. The gym is well equipped, but, if you value your face, please don't use the treadmills - the belts on both are dangerously loose and any speed over 3kmh causes then to slip, dangerously. You will hurt yourself. The breakfast buffet is well stocked and I overtly carried two bananas out, without triggering any alarms or the wrath of the gatekeeper, so that's a bonus. The bar in the main dining room staff are more often than not working solo, so, showing them kindness and patience regardless of how entitled you feel, is a must. They are human & someone's mother, daughter or grandmother, please remember that when interacting with them. Don't bother with your 'do not disturb' sign on the door - the cleaning staff will still barge in whilst you're on the toilet and writing a review, anyway ...which is nice. ! Good timing, though.
