Avis : Kinabalu Daya Hotel

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the staff were genuinely helpful and accommodating—they allowed me to check in early, which I truly appreciated. The overall service and hospitality reflected a sincere effort to make guests feel welcome. However, the major downside was the room’s ventilation. I was staying at a windowless room, and I believe the air conditioner wasn’t properly maintained. During my stay, I fell ill with flu-like symptoms, and after returning home, I was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection. I suspect the poor air quality and lack of fresh airflow may have played a role, and that was deeply disappointing. For future guests, I hope the hotel management takes serious steps to improve the ventilation system and maintain cleaner air conditioning units—especially in rooms without windows. just okay for outstation person like me. A bit old hotel. But got wifi & youtube direct to the TV nice.

Location is strategic. Sadly, No TV channels available until 3rd night. Old building that needs repair. It was suppose to be No Smoking Hotel but then the corridor was horriblly smells with cigarrette smoke. Staff services are good tho.

2nd time staying here.. Staff is friendly and helpful. Near shopping mall and convenient shop

Great location, but the bed and mattress is old. Aircon is noisy too

Nearby restaurants and near to shopping mall very convenient. The shower water not hot enough.

Air conditioning was dripping on the first night of our stay… then we requested to change room. The staffs were friendly enough to change our room. The second room was much better with newer air conditioning and furniture.

TV no services. Room got so many noise. Lift too tiny. But location is so great.

They don't inform that basic amenites are not provided like tooth brush, shower cup, soap n also cotton bud. But the pictures on website trips.com are showed that the basic amenities!!! So this is like a scam or something

its really in the centre of the city and affordable price yet its a walkable city, got tons of food store around it and very very near to suria mall its was really fun, hope i can got more discount upon these hehe

Easy access to gaya street night market. I can say it is a stategic place to stay in the heart of KK
