We stayed at Djambo in January 2012 for 8 nights to escape the sad Dutch winter. Djambo is a small accommodation with seventeen appartments. The one bedroom appartments have an outside kitchen which we especially enjoyed. The bedroom was big and clean. The bathroom was maybe a little small but also very clean. There was a safe in the appartment and also free internet is provided. The big supermarkets are about 2 minute cardrive away which was very convenient. We would like to go snorkel in the morning and then return in the afternoon. Have some lunch at our apparment and enjoy the pool. In the evening we would go to a restaurant in Kralendijk, it is however also possible to cook in the appartment if you would prefer that. The 'centre' of Kralendijk is about 5 carminutes away, it is also possible to walk there. I would recommend this property to anyone. Especially since the bigger hotels are so much more expensive! We went to the Divi for a trip with the catamaran and we were glad that we did not pay that much more for what we saw at that resort.

As this is my first trip to Bonaire and as a diver, it was a splendid trip with a pleasurable and mostly quiet stay at Djambo. Needing only the basics, this lodge/apts provide just a bit more than that, clean and colorful surroundings. The Dutch flair is evident; cool, calm, comfortable and pleasing to the eyes, heart and spirit. Djambo is a main and important ingredient of the "happy island". It is close to several dive shops and markets, all within walking distance of town also.

This premises opened December 2009. It is located within 5 minutes drive from the airport and a 10 minute walk from the town centre. The joint owners make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The accommodation has everything you need. The kitchens are well equipped and there is wifi almost everywhere on site. The beds are very comfortable and there is good sized room safe which is a great help for all you valuables, cameras, ipads etc. There is a large pool surrounded by sun loungers and chairs with sun umbrellas if it gets too hot for you. For divers there are good wash tanks and secure storage and drying area for your kit of the sun. This was our third visit to Bonaire and we had a great time there. We will definitely stay at Djambo again. Our thanks to all of you there who made our stay so enjoyable! heel erg bedankt

Djambo was just what we needed for our first trip to Bonaire. It is close to the beach and the town centre, and easy walking to restaurants and shops. It is very quiet, and is adults only (important for me as I am a teacher on spring break!). All of my emails were answered promptly and Dick and Liselotte were super helpful and accommodating. The pool is very clean and cool with lots of spots to sit and relax. The bar opens from 5:30-7 and you can chat with other guests or the owners. The room was clean and we really liked the outdoor kitchen. We stayed on the top floor because my husband is a light sleeper. You get the afternoon sun so it's warm but you can close the doors and there are still shady spots to sit with them open. The bed was really comfortable. There was little noise at the hotel at all really. It was lovely. And excellent value!

We were in Bonaire for a diving holiday and found Djambo by accident. The complex is fabulous. The room design is amazing and features an open air kitchen and dining area which was very useful. We even had a small room to store suitcases. I would thoroughly recommend and we’ll be back on our next trip.

We have had a 10 days stay ad a four persons apartment. It is a very quiet en excellent stay. You can walk to Kralendijk. As soon as you are entering the complex, je think you are on an island at Bonaire. A big swimming pool, surrounded with a nice garden and beds to sit or lay into. There is enough privacy to relax. You can change your handtowels as often as you like and the cleaning of your apartment is often enough. The kitchen is good and there was a large refrigerator with freezer. The owner are living next door so if you have any question they are very willing to give you the right answer. We think Djambo is a must.

My wife and I stayed here for a 10 day dive holiday. Djambo is clean, quiet, friendly and relaxing place to stay for a dive holiday. This was our 4th time in Bonaire but first time here. As divers, we are not looking for the amenities of a 5 star resort or a place to party at night. We liked the proximity to shopping, the ability to cook in a lanai setting, or the option of walking into town for a restaurant meal. We'll definitely be coming back. Thank you Martin & Ilse for making things easy!

The accommodations and the people at Djambo exceeded every expectation, every time. The rooms were welcoming, spotless, and inviting. Private apartments, full kitchens, a lovely outside space, and friendly people everywhere. The pool is beautiful, as are all the grounds. It is obvious that a lot of planning and maintenance and pride goes into this hotel. Even the laundry facilities and places for washing dive gear were spotless and complete. All your needs have been anticipated and provisions have been made. Easy walk into town, but far enough outside to have quiet. And the owners, who live on-site, are some of the genuinely kindest people I have ever met. Many people are return visitors, as I will be next time I visit Bonaire. I would consider no where else! We stayed for a month; I wish it had been longer.

Rustig kleinschalig resort met zeer vriendelijke eigenaren (2 stellen). Leuk opgezet appartementencomplex rond een zwembad. Op loopafstand van Kralendijk en vlakbij de Albert Heijn:) enig minpuntje vonden wij het gebrek aan privacy.
