Hôtel Fleur des Alpes

We stayed here for 2 nights in late-May and can say for certain it is the type of place we look for when we travel, especially when our primary plan is to hike. It is a small, well managed, clean property that is family owned and operated, which in this case translated into friendly and great service. Our room had everything we needed, was clean and a nice view of the mountains, with the sound of the river outside our window at night. We enjoyed happy hour on the front patio after hiking each day but what really made Hôtel Fleur des Alpes special, in addition to the great staff, was the restaurant. We had dinner here both nights and the food was excellent. It seems clear they try to use local products whenever possible. We also enjoyed breakfast each day, which is included in the rate. Again, we love finding well run properties that focus on their guests and provide great value – we hope to return to this property again someday as it exceeded our expectations in every way.

We arrived later than expected after an exhilarating and exhausting trek in the nearby beautiful Valleé des Merveilles. The bar and restaurant were very busy but we received a warm welcome from Robby and unwound with an apéro on the terrace. Followed by a good dinner and excellent wine and slept well in the basic but nevertheless pleasant and clean room, with a view over the river and mountains. Good and varied breakfast the following day included local produce, served by the ever cheeful Robby. Would have gladly stayed longer. Recommended. MERCI A TOUS!
