Gorgeous place. Full of style and character. Tucked under the old city walls so perfect place to explore from. Everything about it was just right for us. Maria couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Would very definitely recommend staying here …..a special experience.

It is an interesting, stylish hotel but the furniture is quite dated and uncomfortable, especially the beds - rock solid. The lady who served breakfast was great and the food and coffee were good. It is in a good location - central but quiet for the most part. You can see the city walls from the roof terrace. When we arrived, our flight landed quite late which we advised at the time of booking, and they confirmed the time was ok (arriving at the hotel about 10pm). When we left the airport, as they had requested I called them to confirm we were on our way, and they told me to hurry up - which wasn't really the kind of service I would expect when we were on schedule according to the times I'd given them!

I had an unfortunate experience with this hotel, one that involved rodents. To start, communication is ineffective. They would not respond to booking messages nor pick up the phone prior to my arrival. The man checking me in was unhelpful and impolite to start. Here are my main concerns with this location upon arrival: - man stated that guests need to close the pool door at night to prevent someone from climbing the back wall and entering the hotel (because they leave at 5 pm). Poor security. And I was travelling alone, so this was a poor start. - The rooms themselves were not clean. I found hairs on the pillows and bedspread before even staying in the bed. Floors were sticky and brick was crumbling. - No deadbolt on doors - Stained towels/poor lighting in bathroom - The apartment is rundown and kitchenette is not well equipped. - Saw a mouse run behind the couch - which is why I didn’t even stay the night here. I tried calling twice after this happened, but no one picks up the phone after 5 pm and before 11 am. The hotel doesn’t believe me, and said I needed “proof” that this happened (as in, I was supposed to catch or chase after the mouse for pictures??) I did not even stay the night. The room felt unclean and as a solo traveler, completely unsafe. They won’t refund me, which is fine, I would rather warn others from staying here. So many other well kept places in Lagos, this place is rundown and unclean.

I booked this accomodation with free cancellation. The accomodation took money from my credit card for the first night. After cancelling the booking they didnt tranfser the down-payment back. When I called them they said it would take upto 35 days for them to transfer back the money. This was around the 15th of July and I still didnt get my money back. Nor did they ever respond to my messages.

Pasamos 3 noches durante un fin de semana de febrero. El apartamento es muy espacioso y está decorado como una casa marroquí en el viejo Fez. Lo cual significa que es romántico, acogedor y mágico. Si alguien espera una habitación de hotel minimalista, de paredes blancas y luces de estudio con muebles geométricos de multinacional sueca; este no es su lugar. Tiene una piscina coqueta al final de un patio,en la parte trasera, y una terraza maravillosa en la azotea muy bien equipada. El desayuno era variado, bueno y muy abundante. María,la persona que nos atendió,era todo amabilidad y nos aconsejó unos lugares fantásticos donde comer a muy buen precio. Lo que algunas críticas apuntan a oscuridad en las dependencias es sólo la luz ténue que se necesita para crear esa atmósfera de casa marroquí tradicional. Muy limpia toda la instalación, tanto zonas comunes como el apartamento. El barrio es céntrico pero muy tranquilo; y el coche puedes dejarlo aparcado sin problemas a unos 20 metros.
