I’d really like to give a higher score, maybe a 3.5, as the staff were really good, but the hotel is in need of improvement. We stayed in room 4, which was nice and big but is in desperate need of improvements. Things like the sofa and chairs that were badly faded and torn, the arms were discoloured and stained, and things like the nobs on top of the railings literally came off in your hands. There were also many cobwebs around the room, and was also dusty in places. The bathroom was ok, the bath was a nice big size, but the water pressure wasn’t up to much and the handheld shower was pretty much useless, so bath was the only option. The bed was comfortable enough, and the wifi adequate. The restaurant food was ok, your typical Czech fayre, but it wasn’t the freshest we ate on our two week trip. Lettuce had turned brown on the side salads, and on one dish my wife had the mushrooms were slimy and inedible. The schnitzel and other meat we had was nice though. Breakfast was pretty average. The main reason for our stay was to visit the Krušovice brewery right near the hotel, for which it served its purpose perfectly. There are very few hotels in the area, and it’s not exactly a tourist hotspot, so they don’t have much competition. It’s also worth noting that they speak very little English, so be prepared to use Google Translate a lot. As for the brewery, and the Krušovice beer, it’s well worth visiting for.
