I'm at the hotel now, and having read all the negative reviews, I want to reassure future guests as I, too, was a little worried. The reception staff have been lovely, polite, and helpful. Checking in was easy. The room is enormous and clean. The beds are comfortable. The bathroom does the job! The shower runs off a mixer tap, so it's not the best pressure, but not the worst, and the water is hot. The kitchen area is fine, with a microwave, hob, and fridge, kettle, and toaster. There is basic cooking equipment. My only moan is there is no sharp knife for cutting bread and peeling vegetables - no peeler either. I personally like a wine glass and mug , of which there are none, but there are tumblers and cups. Bring a tea towel! The hotel is quiet. We are at the back looking at the mountains and common land and not overlooked, unlike around the pool area where guests walking down the stairs can see you on your balcony. A previous reviewer moaned about there not being daily housekeeping - well, you are SELF catering, and the information sheet does clearly tell you someone will come in on day 4. Haven't managed to get the WiFi to work, but who needs WIFI on holiday? Someone had written a review about the pool not being like the one in the photo - well, it is. There are 2 pools! They obviously hadn't explored. The pool areas are cleaned and tended. The pool bar is reasonable and offers food, milk, and 5lt bottles of water. If you arrive late bring tea and coffee and at least you can have a drink. The person who moaned about no shops and hills, again obviously hadn't explored. A 15-minute gentle stroll brings you to shops, restaurants, and the beach. I hate walking, and the walk back isn't difficult. The hotel offers a trip on Sundays to Teguise Market for 10€- definitely worth doing and daily trips to the main part of Costa Teguise at 11 am and back at 4 pm. They can also arrange taxis. A holiday is what you make it and for the price paid, this place is very good.
