I booked into this hotel on the 24/05/2025 leaving on the 26/05/2025. The room smelt of strongly of damp, there was clearly an issue with a long term water leak as the carpet was wet and the decor damaged, the hotel was fully booked and an alternative room wasn’t available, neither was the manager. The breakfast ran out of basics, such as fruit and yogurt, the coffee/drinks machines were regularly faulty. Having stayed at this hotel a number of times previously I’m amazed to see how the standards have plummeted. The hotel is clearly housing long term social housing guests so in turn it appears cost cutting measures have been put in place. There was also vomit in the foyer, disappointing that there wasn’t a senior member of staff available to help. I’m registered disabled and a wheelchair user, due to the degenerative nature of my illness it’s not practical for me to easily put on shoes, so I had to walk across wet carpet in my socks/bare foot to get to the bathroom.
