Hôtels proches de Merendero Puente medieval, León

Este hotel es un 3 estrellas y así lo parece en sus instalaciones y habitaciones. La habitación tiene un espacio más reducido y el baño, también más pequeño en mi caso tenía una columna en medio un poco incómoda para acceder a la ducha (que no bañera, lo que es de agradecer). Mobilio funcional, con uso, pero correcto y sin desgastes mayores o falta de mantenimiento. Desayuno con variedad aceptable. El personal es lo mejor del hotel tanto en recepción, como en la cafetería, como las mujeres de la limpieza todos a lo suyo y muy atentos al cliente. La ubicación ideal para ir al centro andando en unos minutos. Todo esto hace que sea un 3* muy recomendable, sin esperar grandes instalaciones ni nada especial, pero perfecto para trabajar en León o para hacer una escapada y estar con un buen confort sin mas.

Built in the 14th century in 1370, this building provides the location of this quaint hotel that is centrally located right at the beginning of the desirable and touristy “barrio húmedo” section of León. Within a short walking distance to all shops, restaurants, bars and the main attraction, the Leon Cathedral, you’ll never be far from anything you could want. There’s a restaurant in the hotel that I heard was very good (although on the pricey side) but I never ate there. The local bars and cafe’s all serve tapas gratis with any beverage ordered and there’s no shortage of places to eat! The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful and even though they have set hours at the front desk, every guest gets their own code to get in if it’s past those hours. I’d read that since it’s an old building, that the walls are thin and it can get quite loud, especially if you are closer to street level or over restaurant. I was on 3rd floor and had no issues. Sometimes you could hear people coming in late and the old wood floors creak a little, but it never bothered me and guests were pretty respectful. Nice large tub and shower area. Small tv, that I never used once…no need to when there’s so much nearby to do! I’d stay here again for sure!

Read the reviews on here and was worried what to expect, however it exceeeded our expacttions and is well worth short sty break. Parking alongsde is ideal if driving and easy to find , instructons spot on Checkin great, really good English on reception thankfully, and walk to rooms was like an antique centre with beutifaul pieces everywhere harking back to its heritage as a convent. Its really close to main town as well, so 5 minute walk downhill and your at the cathedral and top of town. Didn't see a hotel bar as such, however its only a base. Rooms basic but good, although air con needs to crank up a bit. Now the best bit, we bookd one of their music dinners in the clositers, a sort of modern music type event (they do classics as we). lots of tables laid out, perfromer area all n the gardens, then a fantastic 5 coure meal and flowing wine made for a great night, all for about 60 euro each. Superb evening Breakfast was the only let down for us, really poor selection of food, not replenished , and had to clear our own table 3 mornings in a row as no staff anywhere. This is not a top end luxury hotel with super attentive service, its a quirky older hotel as a base for exploring and fantastic evening entertnment some nights.

Hôtel situé à côté de l'hôpital de León. Parking payant en souterrain, sinon possibilité de se garer non loin dans la rue sans souci. 30 min à pieds pour accéder à la vieille ville (puerta castillo). Chambre spacieuse, très grand placard (penderie + étagères), mini frigo. Très bonne literie. Salle de bain spacieuse, place pour poser ses affaires de toilette. Ménage ok mais pourrait être un peu plus poussé dans la salle de bain. Hôtel calme, réceptionnistes agréables et aidantes. Nous y avons passé un bon séjour.

Nous avons eu le plaisir de résider une nuit dans ce parador extraordinaire. La grande valeur architecturale en est remarquable. L'ensemble du personnel est remarquablement professionnel et particulièrement attentionné. Le restaurant est juste un enchantement !

This hotel was really good with fabulous attentive staff. Large bedroom, comfortable bed, super bathroom and very clean. Outstanding breakfast and good cafe style dinner. Ten euros taxi ride into City. Good parking. Highly recommended

Nous avons fait un voyage de 2 mois avec un bébé et nous avons séjourné pour une nuit seulement. Nous avons reçu un très chaleureux accueil par Daniel, qui a fourni un enregistrement rapide et sans heurts, et nous a déjà fait sentir à l'aise, après un long voyage. Le design et les installations de l'hôtel sont excellents, appelés maison romaine ”Domus”, des zones communes aux chambres que nous aimés! Le matin après avoir été accueillis et servi le petit déjeuner par le ”Manager” (qui ne me rappelle pas son nom) qui nous a fait sentir comme à la maison. Nous avons eu une excellente expérience, nous avons maintenant une fermeture préférée lors du voyage de Barcelone à Santiago!

Hotel Temple Ponferrada Ponferrada Doesn’t deserve to be 4 stars 856196436 Having stopped here for over 1 week, by default,my Motorcycle broke down, so I had no choice. Repeating, collectively as of other reviews, not impressed. The staff (not including high end management or owners) worked very hard in what they do I presume for very little pay. They where extremely helpful. A big but, not enough of them for a large hotel. I guess they looked after the big groups of locals and tourists especially the restaurant first, before any of the singular tourists or solos got any attention.The bar upstairs is regularly empty and took on average 20 minutes for anyone to be attended too. Not the staffs fault. The hotel is noisy, I never had my sheets changed throughout my stay. The light fittings very temperamental . Breakfast very basic for 8 euros. Most 4 star hotels have some sort of security for obvious reasons. The corridors very noisy, and one particular night , I had to complain at 03.15 . Nobody on the front desk and to call a number if required. The main doors where fully open and absolutely no one in the reception area. Not good in an emergency I will not be stopping there again, As I have now found out 2-3 hotels in the local area offer better service for perhaps only 5 euros more. It certainly does not deserve a 4 star status. 3 at the most. It has a theme, yes but obviously the management use that and take advantage . It’s wrong to do so. Its probably the oldest in Ponferrada, it shows it’s age and don’t judge it by the photographs, the place is well worn out. Having said that, it is close to the town centre which is lively. My credit goes to the staff for being put in that position in the first place. Never say never!!!! But never again
