Feathers Hotel, Bar and Restaurant

Fantastic room, wonderfully comfy bed (slept like a log), great bar, magnificent breakfast and to top it all off the owner very kindly gave me a lift up the road to collect my car (which I'd left the night before, as I couldn't get a taxi) which was incredibly kind - as it's a family run hotel and I'm sure he had a million other more important things to do! It's the most wonderful location, my wife and I had a marvellous stay and it's now my 100% to-go hotel in Aberaeron. I can't wait to visit again.

We visited here whilst staying with friends last weekend. The staff were very pleasant and helpful & the bar / dining area had a good feel about it. We started with beers & prosecco & then ordered an array of starters to create our own tapas style food . We had mussels, chicken wings , chorizo & calamari, ravioli , french fries & the best fat chips. We ordered 2 desserts between the 4 of us & had the cheescake which was very nice. Excellent food and service and worth a visit if in the area.

I’m struggling to find where to begin with this review because Dawn and Ray did so much for us that it’s become difficult to recollect everything! I’ll do my best though… My husband and I left it until pretty last minute to book a venue for our wedding reception. We only had around 4 weeks left until the big day. It was at this point we entered the Feathers Hotel where we were greeted by Dawn. Upon entering, Dawn greeted us with a smile and instantly made us feel at ease. Despite being a very busy lady coupled with the fact we’d walked in completely unannounced, she really took her time to get to know us and our requirements for the big day. She spoke in detail about everything the Feathers had to offer including food, drink, entertainment and room hire. She even gave us a tour of the hotel including the guest bedrooms. She was very understanding regarding our budget and we never felt under any pressure to upgrade or add on more than what we could afford. She was happy to work within the budget we gave and offered plenty of ideas and options to keep costs down as much as possible. We booked the reception there and then because she filled us with so much confidence. She was so enthusiastic and excited at the thought of hosting our special day. We spoke about different food options and she was so flexible with what she could offer. She even called the chef in at one point so we could have a more in depth discussion. They were happy to cater for even the fussiest of eaters. On the day of the wedding itself, both Dawn and Ray worked so hard to ensure the room was perfect upon our arrival. Dawn greeted me with a drink outside before I entered the hotel to ensure I was calm and ready before entering. I was so grateful for this Dawn - thank you! I definitely needed it! During the night, both Dawn and Ray worked tirelessly to ensure all our guests had exactly what they needed. All food was brought out in a timely manner and the guests were happy and satisfied. The food was absolutely amazing! I couldn’t fault any of it. So much care and attention was put into every serving and many of my guests commented on how good the quality of the food was. Presentation was perfection too! Towards the end of the night, a few of our guests with small children were unable to get a taxi ride back to their hotel. Ray offered to take them back for us and for this we were truly grateful. A perfect example of how they went above and beyond, not just for my husband and I, but for our guests too. The overnight stay was comfortable and there was Prosecco waiting for us in our room- a lovely and thoughtful touch to end a perfect evening. The breakfast in the morning was, again, top notch. Great choice of dishes and cooked to perfection. I can’t thank both Ray and Dawn enough for a wonderful wedding day. This will be something I will look back on with such fond memories and I’m so grateful to both of you for going that extra mile to make our day so sp

We were part of a large party for an annual event, I was really pleased with the choice of venue, the hotel was a lovely surprise we hadn't been inside before and wrongly assumed it would be old fashioned, it wasn't, it's a delight! We had a three course sit down meal and the food was absolutely fantastic, very often sliced beef isn't great buy this beef was super, same for veg and potatoes etc, plenty of sauces too. The wait staff were really polite and couldn't do enough, big thank you to them!

Had a carvery sunday lunch 1st class !! the meal was gorgeous cooked beautifully .We all enjoyed it very much there were 8 of us including 2 babies and we all had a lovely time staff were friendly and welcoming.We live locally so we will be back thanks everyone

We stayed in the hotel after attending a wedding. What a lovely place!! The owner and staff were very welcoming and friendly. They organised a taxi, offering us a lift if we got stuck, nothing was too much trouble. The room was immaculate and comfy. With all the facilities available. We will definitely stay there again.
