Grand Solmar the Residences at Rancho

Our stay was extremely enjoyable. The Kids Club always keeps our children (even teens) entertained-- thanks to Jorge's warm personality! They have many activities, such as paddle boards in the salt lagoon, rope swings, slides, beach or pool volleyball, and more. They have engaging activities out of the direct sun too, such as playing cards, painting, making bracelets, Spanish lessons, dominoes, etc. There's never an "I'm bored" moment. The rooms are well-appointed. Our cleaner, Amaryani, was very attentive to our daily needs. When we ran into any maintenance issues, the management addressed them fairly quickly. We hope they continue regular upkeep for enjoyment into the future. It would be great to encourage their staff to conduct inspections so those staying encounter fewer issues during their stay. For example, our room's private pool and hot tub weren't maintaining at appropriate levels or temperature. So, we had to report it throughout the week. I wish they did turndown service! The time of year we chose has sometimes been windy, but this year was remarkably still and perfect. We were able to sit outside without any issues!

The hotel rooms are beautiful and the staff is very friendly. While there is a lot more development underway - the pool area is so relaxing and this is an amazing place for families and couples! Our entertainment team was one of the best we have experienced and really great at getting us (and the kids) involved. Such a fun and happy place. We will be going back!

Relaxing environment. Beautiful scenery. Everyone is so helpful. Max gave us all the information about the various activities in the resort and reserved our spot in the fiesta celebration on Tuesday night.

The activities at the pool were fantastic. Rita and Esmeralda were fabulous❤️ place itself is beautiful. The water aerobics , water volleyball cards, bingo were so much fun! The lagoon now that it is filled was amazing. Pools are too warm. Water is not refreshing!

Kudos to the wonderful people at Grand Solmar! To name a few Diana - maintained our room well; always clean and in order Alberto and Ivan - very helpful in setting us up in the room and taking care of our valet needs; all the valet personnel were very warm and helpful Diego and Itzel - made it really fun for us in the lagoon and of course all the waiters were very responsive and nice there too Fun time!

Very kid friendly and the food was delicious! Also is nice that they have free shuttle to downtown. Ask about the meal plan we did it for part of the trip and it was worth the money. Was nervous at first because only 3 main restaurants on site and a couple pool bars, but they were all delicious and one of them changes menu nightly. Great sushi bar too!
