The hotel surroundings and exterior is in a beautiful place. Not directly in the town center but 10mins walk. Room was ok, but for the price I had expected a kettle for tea or coffee and hotel slippers. You have to shower in a bathtub. There was no shampoo or body lotion either. Our bedroom was just above the outside dining space and there was a group of very loud guest talking and laughing until 2am which disturbed us a lot even with closed windows. Breakfast was nice but the coffee machine was out of order. I would not choose this hotel again.

L’hotel est très bien situé au centre de Ludwigsburg et à une dizaine de minutes à pied des principaux monuments. Malgré sa localisation excellente, l’hôtel est très vieillot. Les chambres sont assez petites et mal aménagées. Une vielle moquette parcours tous les étages et les chambres et apporte une odeur est désagréable au séjour. Le rapport qualité prix n’est pas au rendez-vous (1 nuit nous a coûté 180EUR avec le petit déjeuné ce qui beaucoup trop cher). L’hôtel n’a pas le standing d’un 4 étoiles

Bel hôtel, bel accueil, avec un staff qui parle aussi bien anglais que allemand. Chambre sympathique, seul bémol, de bien faire attention, car les lits ne sont pas faits pour des personnes de grandes taille. Les sanitaires et douches, très propres, le côté moderne m'a agréablement surpris. Côté restauration, rien à dire, belle salle de restaurant, et condiments frais, biens cuisinés. Seul bémol, c'est que le bar soit situé entre deux portes d'accès, ce qui doit faire du bien lorsqu'il fait chaud, mais lorsqu'il fait "0" degrés, l'on est rapidement gelés avec des entrées incessantes ... Bref un bon séjour de 2 jours pour nous, mais séjour agréable !!!

I stayed at Nestor Hotel, Ludwigsburg for five days. The room itself was very comfortable but what really let the hotel down was the lack of catering for vegans. The hotel had assured me at the time of booking that a vegan breakfast would be available for me, however that wasn’t the case at all. There were very limited options that were vegan, such as soya yoghurt, fruit, and tea. None of the food was marked as vegan. When I asked the kitchen staff, I was told different things by different members of staff. Some told me there was milk in all the bread and some emphatically told me the bread was vegan – who was I to believe? Nobody seemed to fully understand what ‘vegan’ means. I was pointed towards the salad. Who wants salad for breakfast? I ended up having a piece of fruit, a soya yoghurt and a cup of tea on most days. None of the cereals were marked as vegan (most cereals are not vegan). None of the hot food was vegan, aside from baked beans and mushrooms. Some staff said the bread was vegan, others did not, so I didn’t risk it. So, no bread, no cereals, and no hot food other than mushrooms. This was really disappointing, especially given that I had asked at the time of booking for a vegan breakfast and was assured I would have it. I told Reception about my problem twice. The first time I was assured someone would look into it and call me. I didn’t receive a call. The second time I just received an apology but no action was taken. I was still charged for a full breakfast for all 5 days. The constant struggle to try to find a member of kitchen staff who could simply give me accurate information, and the lack of a nourishing breakfast to start my days, really spoiled what would otherwise have been a comfortable stay. My advice to this hotel is: 1 – Please educate your kitchen staff about different dietary needs. They also need to know that gluten-free is not the same as vegan! 2 – Please provide labels in front of each food item, clearly displaying what it is, eg ‘vegetarian’, ‘vegan’, ‘gluten-free’. This is really basic information to provide your customers, many of whom have special dietary requirements.

Very nice hotel in a central location, close to the city centre. Good breakfast. My room was not cleaned !!!! I was given a dirty room. Very disappointed for 4**** hotel. I get the free upgrade for a bigger and clean room! Well done reception. Nice sauna and gym in the hotel.

The Nestor Hotel in Ludwigsburg is right in the middle of the town's best attractions. From the hotel, we walked along the tree-lined alley to the Palace and its gardens, Marktplatz, and Rathausplatz, where we enjoyed the Baroque Christmas Market. The hotel is also walking distance from restaurants and right next door to the Forum.

Despite receiving an upgrade to a suite the insufficient a/c detracted from an otherwise pleasant stay. The suite on the top floor was very large with large bathroom, separate tub, walk in shower, large walk-in closet and a dining area. A good size for a longer stay. The onsite parking was free with some room rates. The bedding was fine except for horrible pillows. Dinner on the terrace at the hotel restaurant was good with large portions. Markus was very personable. The breakfast buffet was quite good.

We know this hotel from earlier stays and also this time it was very pleasant to stay there. The room was nice, breakfast is good, the location of the hotel is good (just some minutes walk away from the city center). Parking your car can be a problem as the parking is limited. Just a little side-note for them to improve: Apparently this is a so-called 'green' hotel these days. This means they do not clean your room every day in order to save water. Basically this is a good approach, but guests need to get this told very clearly when checking-in rather than finding out that the room is not cleaned when you come back in your room at the end of the day.

Just what we wanted. Great location, lovely Hotel with fabulous staff who helped us find our way round and make the visit such a joy. The only sadness was that we were not able to stay longer. Hopefully another day

No usb plugs need converters, no ice bucket or ice machines, hot water limiter gives like 5 mins of hot water then turns ice cold in shower. You have to pay for parking and it is not close by the entrance. Only 1 pillow each and can hear traffic through the closed window. Not recommended. At least the bed was comfy
