The cottage is being rebuilt after a recent fire. The project looks spectacular, but I did not expect the restaurant to be perfectly functional. Basically, it's the most decent restaurant in the area - industrial design, spacious, homey and elegant at the same time. The terrace is shady, pleasant, and the toilets are clean, well equipped. It seems hard to believe that it is a restaurant located at the foot of the Retezat Mountains, far from urban civilization. The food is good, regional cuisine with a modern touch. I ordered Saramura de Pastrav (grilled trout in a savory sauce), which was delicious. The wine was also good. No complaints about the service - it was fast and efficient, although the terrace was full.
