We stayed at the Ecopark Lodge in October at the end of the dry season. The river was very low so we had to take a car to drive to and from the Lodge. The wet season was expected to start in a few weeks time so anyone visiting from then on should see much more water in the Rio ***** The staff at the Lodge couldn't do enough for us, and we would like to thank them all for making our stay so memorable. Our room was very comfortable and the air conditioning great. We loved the natural pools - so relaxing after the outings in and around the area. Special shout out to Moses who was a fantastic guide. He knows so much about the flora and fauna and cares very much about the environment. Thank you to everyone for making our visit great.

Mostly this was an amazing trip. The people working at the lodge were great. Our first guide was also top notch (we'll get to our second guide in a moment). The lodge itself was in need of some repair, as my friend stepped through a rotten plank, which just shouldn't happen. Also the canoes need to be mentioned, since just one of them was fully functional, another one was taking in water, and the rest of them had all sunk. This severely limited your ability to go exploring. So far this is 4 out of 5 review, but I did find it necessary to downgrade to a 3, due to the very poor quality of guiding the last couple of days. FYI I am a biologist by trade, and have visited South American jungle before. I was appalled at the questionable knowledge of our second guide. But even more so by his obvious need to lie about stuff he did not know. In just one day he insisted that a howler monkey was a squirrel, a scorpion was a spider, a cricket was a caterpillar and that a moth was a grasshopper. Only to later in the evening catch a small caiman and telling us not to take photos since he was technically breaking the law by doing so. He was also in the habit of speaking quietly while the motor on the boat was running, making it impossible for most people to hear what he was saying. Although, given the quality of what he was saying, this might not actually been a bad thing...

AMAZING. We went here for our honeymoon and every single moment was breathtaking. The experiences you have and the staff are out of this world and a once in a lifetime experience. I could not recommend it enough. If you want an Amazon adventure, knowledgeable and kind staff and great accomodations and food then this is the place for you!

This is a wonderful hotel. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. The air conditioning is good. The room is clean. The property is really unique to separate you from the busy city life. The restaurant foods are wonderful with different menu and really enjoyed our 3 nights stay. The only complain I have is the shower water is not strong, and we just take longer shower time.

Guided tours are “canned “ 20 minute trips less than 1/2 mile from the “Lodge”. Our assigned guide was dismissive and unhelpful. Food safety is minimal. I personally witnessed a jam jar full of insects put out for guest 3 days in a row. Wait staff are excellent and friendly. Housekeeping staff are thorough and professional.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights for our first visit to the Amazon. We had a very good time but this lodge is better suited for families. It is not necessarily the best fit for young, childless 'adventure' tourists. This lodge does a great job of making the Amazon accessible for most travelers. There were guests from all over the world and of all ages here. Several full family groups (grandparents, parents, kids, aunts, uncles, etc) were there at the same time as us. Guides at the lodge appeared fluent in Portuguese (duh), English, Spanish, and Japanese. They were all very friendly and knowledgeable. The tours were not quite what we expected. The "jungle hike" for example was more a walk through the rainforest on a well-traveled path. "Night canoing" was sitting in a motor boat. All of the wildlife we saw was tame-ish. Monkeys living on the reserve and cared for by staff. Dolphins living in a particular part of the river and hand-fed fish ala Sea World. Again, very accessible for most travelers. The cabin itself was fine. The walls were VERY thin and our neighbor, an older businessman, seemed to live in his room and yell at people via video call all day long. I also didn't like the lack of netting around the bed. I know there aren't really mosquitos in the area but it keeps out other things too. The AC was crazy and I had to turn it off at one point. Pro tip, if the unit doesn't beep after you hit the remote keep trying. There was plenty of storage in the room but nothing that locks. We used a luggage lock because the room's door lock seemed a bit iffy. Bedding was clean but the mattress was a bit lumpy. You will need a Brazillian plug convertor if traveling internationally. The bathroom was very small. I don't know how the families with kids managed. But it was well-stocked with toiletries and towels. The stall shower has an electric hookup to warm the water. The water wasn't cold but it never really got hot. The food was ok. Not like you can go somewhere else if you don't like it. I think they were a bit thrown off by us being vegetarian though We always mention when booking. Breakfast and lunch was consistently better than the dinners. There will be food to suit most preferences. I can't guarantee the quality. The big challenge for us was the floating mats of grass. This was an unusual challenge for the lodge related to the recent draught. The tributary leading to the lodge was basically clogged with all this grass. You can't stand on it because it is on top of the water. You can't force it to stay in one place for long because it is not anchored. You don't really want to touch them because insects and snakes are living in them. The grass made it very difficult for the boats to navigate during tours and airport transfers. One boat got stuck in the grass for some time. We left early to the airport for this reason but ended up making it with plenty of time. Despite these challenges, the skilled and diligent staff developed a go

Wife and I stayed here 1 night off a cruise ship. Eco Park just opened Dec 20, 2023 due to drought and low water levels. Unf this hampered our boat tours as the water level was so low. Monkey Island was fantastic, great chance to interact with many species of monkeys. Lodge is great although warm as only AC is in rooms, rest is open air. Staff were fantastic, extremely helpful and attentive. Great guide. Food was extremely good with many choices in buffets. Water levels should be better by March according to guide. Even with low water this was our best interaction with Amazon rainforest on our cruise.

We stayed here 2 nights. Check in was smooth and fast. Room was big enough and clean. Toileteries available. The maid comes to clean the room once a day. The furniture is not new, but it is functional.  The room was located in a ground-floor house with a small terrace. The room had an air conditioner that worked well. Wi-Fi is free throughout the resort, but is available only in common areas (reception, bar, restaurant).  There was no wifi or TV in the room. Staff was kind, but almost none was able to speak English (only few exceptions). The resort is located on the bank of the river, but there was no water in it during our stay.  The resort consists of cottages for the accommodation of guests and several free-standing common facilities located among native greenery.  The facilities are connected by well-lit paths.  There were no mosquitoes. Within the building there are also several natural pools with a depth of about 1.20 m and an area of about 30 to 100 m2.  The facility is surrounded by a real jungle, there is no fence from it.  This gives a special feeling of connection with nature.  Within the resort, we saw an iguana, parrots, a huge spider, and a snake on the terrace of the restaurant.  We are in the jungle after all. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the resort.  The food was tasty, and the quantities were sufficient.  There was fresh fruit.  A good selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks at acceptable prices.  Payment by cash or credit card. During our two-day stay, we had a lot of activities and a guide who was in charge of us.  I recommend the guide Black Moses who speaks understandable English, is very nice and knows a lot of useful stories about Manaus, the Amazon and the jungle.  We enjoyed his company.  He took us by speedboat to the meeting of waters, the place where the Amazon River is born.  On the second day, thanks to Moses, we had a very instructive two-hour tour of the rainforest, and a visit to a part of the rainforest where monkeys live, which we were able to feed with eggs and fruit.  We visited the so-called  Caboclo house and received information from Moses about their life and work. A special experience was fishing on the river where we caught piranhas.  We even managed to catch a few of them ourselves, and Moses took them off the hook for our safety.  When it got dark we went to look for caimans.  One of Moses' colleagues caught a medium-sized caiman (about 110 to 130 cm long) with his bare hands and brought it to the boat for us to take pictures and hold it in our hands.  Although it is a dangerous animal, everything was safe.  After about 10 minutes on the ship, Cayman was returned alive and water. Staying at the Amazon Ecopark was a great experience.  Everything is well organized, from car and boat transfers on arrival and return, as well as excursions.  If you like this kind of stay in nature, I highly recommend the Amazon Ecopark, but always remember that you are in a real rainforest and far from t
