Le Ritz-Carlton, la première marque d'hôtels de luxe au monde, suit le style classique depuis sa création au XIXe siècle et est devenu un hôtel incontournable pour les célébrités et les dignitaires.

Je fréquente cet endroit depuis 25 ans du fait de sa localisation idéale. Le problème c’est qu’il se dégrade doucement mais sûrement. Les chambres ont été rénovées il y a une dizaine d’années, puis plus rien. Le petit-déjeuner a disparu (prétexte Covid…), les cookies frais l’après-midi, le ménage aussi ! Il faut le demander la veille avant 19h, sinon il n’est pas fait. Même pas un réapprovisionnement de savon et shampoing. Pour autant, aucune baisse des tarifs… Pas de bouilloire, ou prises USB, suites bien vides… et pour finir un réseau internet très mauvais. Bref, rien de rédhibitoire mais décevant, surtout quand on a connu cet hôtel il y a quelques années.

Hôtel conforme à ce que l’on peut attendre de cette catégorie de prix, au regard des critères américains et de la très bonne localisation. Nous avons de plus bénéficié d’une chambre donnant directement sur la piscine et son jacuzzi. Le salon extérieur jouxtant notre fenêtre aurait pu être une situation inconfortable mais vu que ce dernier était peu fréquenté, c’est un peu comme s’il était une extension de notre suite (chambre, salon, sdb). Tout le confort à proximité donc. Par rapport aux critères européens, il manquait un bar ( il faut acheter ses boissons à l’extérieur mais il y a comme partout un distributeur de glaçons pour les tenir au frais). Il manquait surtout la possibilité de prendre le petit déjeuner mais on s’y fait, d’autant que thé et café en dosettes sont disponibles dans la chambre. Les installations extérieures semblent limitées en rapport au nombre de chambres, mais elles étaient peu utilisées, peut-être vu que nous y étions en arrière saison.

L'hôtel n'est pas loin de la plage, il n'y a pas de petit déjeuner, il y a des toboggans pour les enfants qui jouent en bas, il y a une petite jetée, mais la chambre où nous vivions n'avait pas de baignoire, la chambre des enfants était sale, le petit déjeuner était commandé. L'eau du bain était petite. Les chambres de l'hôtel offrent une vue partielle sur la mer.

La chambre est bien, très proche de l'aéroport, le restaurant de l'hôtel est délicieux. Le tarif de la chambre n'est pas bon marché

I booked this hotel last minute when me and my son were on a road trip. It had bad reviews, but the price was 1/3 price of other places in the area. So we thought we’d chance it for one night. CHECK IN - was very fast and we were given a ticket to put in our car for free parking in the hotel car park. The guy checking us in was very friendly and looked a bit like a surfer. ROOM - our room was down stairs and was a bit rough round the edges. I can see why people complained, because this place isn’t up to American standards. It had two double beds in our room, a very old tv, no tea/coffee and the furniture looked like it was from the 1970’s. The bathroom was old, but there was a hairdryer and also an iron in the room. Outside we had a large patio area with table and chairs. It had a glass window that overlooked the marina and beach. LOCATION- this was a perfect location round the corner from Venice beach and on the marina. There were restaurants nearby and the beach at the marina could be accessed directly by a gate at the hotel. I loved the location of this place! OVERALL- this place was much cheaper than other places in the area, so you get what you pay for. It has old furniture, is more like a surfers lodge than a hotel. But I loved the vibe here & the location was ideal. The Marriott hotel is right near here, so if you want higher standards and better rooms, stay here but you will be paying 4 x the price! If you are just having an overnight stay or don’t intend to sit in your hotel all day, then this hotel is fine. I would definitely stay here again if the price was good. Free parking and great location right on the beach.
