Hôtels près de Sparrow Park, Matlock Town

Needed convenient stopping point from Surrey to Chestefield, one night, for a funeral. Location ideal. Despite proximity to M1 itself, road noise was not excessive. Receptionist was really welcoming; gave me a choccie bar and bottle of water. You can stroll to the services for Mcdonald's or Costa - and WH Smith etc, (if open). . The overall decor is a bit 'tired' but everything was clean, bed fresh, coffee/tea facilities. Would have preferred the radio to be fitted by the bedside not table across the room (!). Freeview TV quite adequate for one night........ Bedroom was huge (guess it would double up as a family room at times) - and possibly I could have taken my dog with me, in which case the extra space was great. For functionality cannot fault.

La chambre est large, le deuxième étage est une chambre et une salle, la salle a un lit de canapé, la chambre a un grand lit, confortable, le serveur est très ami, le petit-déjeuner est riche, il y a une salle de sauna, un peu insuffisante, la porte est un peu difficile à ouvrir.

10/10 Sitting in the beer garden you wouldn’t believe your so close to the M1. This hotel has a warm and friendly atmosphere at all times and the food in the restaurant is very nice and well cooked. House keeping keep the rooms incredibly tidy and clean and the staff here are very welcoming and helpful. Special thanks to Maddy and Ruby for delivering outstanding customer service.

Je suis venue rester à votre hôtel parce que ma mère est malade dans un hôpital voisin. Tout ce que j'avais besoin était un endroit tranquille pour dormir. Lorsque je suis arrivé le personnel de la réception ne pouvait pas trouver ma réservation. La carte de clé n'a guère fonctionné, il faut être enfoncée au moins 10 fois pour entrer dans la chambre. La chambre n'avait manifestement pas été décorée depuis les années 90, ce qui signifie qu'elle manquait des convictions modernes comme un plutonium près du lit pour charger mon téléphone, ou plus important encore con air. Je n'avais pas fait de mal à être au XXIe siècle et à payer une petite somme d'argent pour la nuit, ce serait au moins standard. L'hôtel est en pleine route, comme beaucoup le font. Il était si chargé que malgré le chauffage terrible, j'ai fini par fermer la fenêtre. Pas si facile que la manœuvre de la fenêtre manquait! La nuit sans sommeil était passée, j'ai fait une douche pour me remettre en vie, mais la pression de l'eau était si faible qu'elle ne se refroidissait pas.

L'hôtel est situé dans le centre de Cromford. La nourriture est vraiment bonne et sert en portions généreuses. Les chambres sont, je pense, classiques du style britannique. Les lits sont incroyablement doux et bien construits. C'est vraiment bon après une journée de marche. L'hôtel était une maison d'hôtes dans les années 1800, et il a un sentiment historique à lui. En un mot : parfait.

We have just returned from an overnight stay at Fischers where we celebrated my sister’s 70th birthday. Everything was spectacularly good! The elegant property stands in beautiful grounds on the edge of Baslow, one of Derbyshire’s most attractive villages. We occupied 2 rooms - a junior suite in the main house and a Garden Room in an adjoining building. They had very differing styles but both were spacious, attractively furnished and decorated and with all the extras one would expect in this quality of hotel. The beds and bedding were luxurious. The staff were, without exception, friendly, helpful and professional. The main attraction of the hotel, however, has to be the food which is of exceptional quality. Our package included the Classic a la carte dinner which included a variety of nibbles, a starter, a 2nd course, a 3rd course, an optional cheese course and dessert. The menu is imaginative and offers ample choice - I would say that the food deserves a Michelin star. The only slightly disappointing element was the dessert which was not executed with the same finesse as the other courses . 3 of us had the pineapple tarte tatin which was over-caramelised and made the pastry rock hard! Overall ,though, our dining experience was fabulous. Breakfast was equally good.
