Not sure where to start really 😊 For me, this was a fabulous nights stay. The large barn-style property is situated in a very quiet rural location, alongside the route of the North Downs Way trail. The entrance, gravel drive and front aspect are very welcoming. I arrived slightly later than planned and was warmly greeted by Paul, one of the proprietors. After some great conversation regarding walking and travel around the North East, he lead me up the fabulous central staircase to my room. A beautiful lobby & upper floor relaxing area. The room was fabulous, with a wonderful king size bed and furnishings of real quality. The little finishes and extras (inc. fresh milk for teas, coffees etc), were really great. Not only a shower room, but also a large whirl pool (…I think that is what they call them. Lol), type bath. From dressing gowns, to nicely bottle water, really made my stay feel special. The bed and the nights sleep was simply 10/10. Nothing more to add. I actually woke to the sound of the birds and thought it was great to hear no passing traffic. Having previously completed my breakfast request form, I went down to the dining room (at the time of my choosing). There was a fabulous selection available, but u could not miss the full English. I was served by Alison (..the boss I think lol) and we had a lovely chat regarding walking and especially regarding my forthcoming trip to Snowdonia. I personally am recovering from a stroke and both Alison and Paul, were extremely welcoming and helpful. Thank you both for helping me with my bag to my car. Overall….a most excellent nights stay! Only wish it had been a 2 night stay. I will be back lol. Highly recommend. A great and fair price 👍
