Das Filipinum

The Filipinum Hotel is an excellent hotel in Merano, not far from the city center. It lies in a rather narrow street with hardly any traffic. The hotel consists of two buildings, the main one, where the restaurant and the reception are, and an annex. I was allocated a room in the latter, and it was very calm. It seems that the buildings are soundproof. I just heard a bit of a noise when the next door room neighbours came back to the hotel from outside and talked in a loud voice. In general, it was rather peaceful, so that I could sleep every night with no trouble whatsoever. The room concerned was also very big. It actually consisted of a bedroom and a sitting room. The latter could also be used as a bedroom in pursuance of the number of people occupying it. There is a corridor and the bathroom between both rooms. Apart from peaceful, the room is also very comfortable and well lit up by daylight. The bed was particularly comfy, thanks to the mattress having the right toughness. The table desk was likewise adequate, what let me get a lot of work done during my stay at the hotel. The only negative point is that there was no kettle in the room. I asked for one but they apparently haven't any. That's why I had to go every evening to the restaurant and ask for a cup of hot water in order to be able to have my relaxing tea. The breakfast was gorgeous. There is a buffet with diverse types of food, all of the utmost quality. It was a pleasure to have that breakfast on the restaurant terrace without any music or any other sound which could spoil the nice atmosphere reigning in that place. Besides, the lady in charge of the breakfast site is very kind and helpful. All the staff is in general kind, helpful and friendly, with the exception of the youngest of the three ladies working at the restaurant at dinner time. By and large therefore that hotel is a recommendable place to stay in Merano. The lodging there may certainly contribute to assure the enjoyment of one's stay in the city concerned.

Ho soggiornate x 3 notti con mio marito,posto tranquillo,camera spaziosa e pulita ,personale gentile e dato che cadeva il compleanno di mio marito in quei giorni sono stati veramente carini al mattino x colazione a preparare il tavolo addobbato per l'occasione . Grazie di nuovo.L'unica pecca se così si vuole chiamare avrei preferito qualcosa in più come menù locale,più scelta e con piatti più di cucina trentina..Nel complesso valutazione positiva

Das Hotel ist Innen wie Aussen keine auffällige Erscheinung, erfüllt aber alle Wünsche zur vollen Zufriedenheit. Ruhige Lage nähe dem Zentrum. Saubere gut ausgestattete Zimmer mit Südbalkon. Sehr gute Küche mit täglich variablem 3Gang-Wahlmenue. Reichliche Getränkeauswahl zu fairen Preisen. Frühstück wie Abendessen wurde auf der wunderschönen Terrasse serviert. Der Aussenpool ist von einer grossen Rasenfläche und einem gepflegten Garten umgeben. Genügend Liegestühle und Sonnenschirme stehen gratis zur Verfügung. Hervorheben möchte ich das sehr freundliche Personal, das aus charmnten Frauen besteht. Leider bleibt die Hotelerie-Familie anonym und wirkt nur im Hintergrund. Man würde eine einmalige Begrüssung sehr schätzen, wenigstens bei den Gästen, die eine ganze Woche hier sind. Das hingegen übernehmen die Damen am Empfang und im Service tadellos. Die ganze Stadt ist super vernetzt mit dem Busbetrieb. Leider ist der ganze Busbetrieb nicht gästefreundlich organisiert. In den stets ganz überfüllten Büssen wird keine Haltestelle angezeigt. Teilweise haben die Fahrer einen rüpelhaften Fahrstil, dass ältere Menschen, die stehen müssen umhergeschleudert werden. Dies nur eine Nebenerscheinung, bei dem das schöne Hotel keinen Einfluss hat. Wir kommen gerne wieder ins Hotel Filipinum!
