Artist Quarter Guesthouse B&B

Located in a 300 year old house in the middle of Safed, this is a beautiful, peaceful B&B. Joy and Evan, the owners, are very friendly and caring, and very interesting people. The rooms are exactly as in the pictures, designed with careful attention right to the finest, smallest details - like labelling the shampoo and conditioner bottles in the bathroom, for guests' convenience. Breakfasts were fresh and delicious, lovingly prepared by Joy in the family's kitchen next door. The entire place is very clean and tidy. Note there is no TV in the rooms, a deliberate decision of the owners. It gave me a lot of free time for reading, or simply relaxing. It is a highly recommended, peaceful haven away from all daily hassle. HIghly recommended. Don't forget to ask Joy to tell you the interesting history of the houses and the courtyard :-)

We really appreciated the hosts thoughtfulness towards ensuring we had everything we needed to keep Shabbat comfortably (Shabbat timer, hot water urn, candles, etc) and the delicious kosher breakfast in the morning. Hosts went above and beyond to make our stay in Tzfat magical!

The room is most beautiful, and the owners are very pleasant and friendly. Breakfast on Sunday was great. On Saturday it is not possible to get service, but we did not need anything as the room is well equipped.

Great hosts, beautiful room and space! Only problem is that it is not easily accessible for someone who has difficulty walking, and the parking can be a little difficult because it is street parking. Other than that, had a great time, great personalized breakfast, and great tips for where to go and what to see in Tsfat!

Exceptional hospitality from Joy and Evan. A cute, picturesque little corner of Safed with the guesthouse offering a quiet escape in beautiful surroundings. Joy and Evan really have the art of quality hospitality down pat, ready to chat, amazing breakfast (actually too much e.g. one of our nights was Friday night when no eateries/restaurants are open and Joy provides a pre-prepared breakfast for Saturday. There was so much for breakfast we ate our Friday night dinner from the breakfast and still had ample for the following morning). Rooms are air conditioned, have tea and coffee, fridge, hair dryer. If I could give more stars I would.

Wonderful BnB in Safed. Joy & Evan were excellent hosts and served delicious breakfasts each morning. They were responsive to any request or issues we had. They did an incredible job restoring and renovating their BnB. I mentioned to them how much we appreciated not 1, but 2 luggage racks. It's unusual & there were other thoughtful touches at the B&B. The B&B is very quiet. Wonderful view on the deck and we enjoyed watching the vibrant sunsets from there. Our only con of our stay was the beds were small -- My husband in 6'+ and the bed was way too short for him. I thought they were also narrow. It was a good location to use as a base for day trips in the area . We were there for 5 days. Spent 1 day in Safed and the others were exploring the area. However, I didn't particularly care for Safed itself. It does have some nice views, but otherwise I wasn't taken with Safed. Evan provided us with some interesting sites to enjoy in the area. I highly recommend a stay at the Artists Quarter Guesthouse B&B.
