"This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The breakfast felt like they were forcing it upon me against my will; there weren't even basic items like fruit or yogurt. The worst part is that they charged my booking card multiple times before I even arrived, and then made several more charges on-site, completely ruining my account. They responded very slowly to my requests for corrections, and the incorrect charges have still not been canceled after a week. The hotel facilities are also old and poor. Please stay somewhere else."

"Paid for room but could the I had no way to check-in for they needed a 200. 00 deposit. And wouldn’t refund our money or issue me gift card to use at a latter date . No one got to stay in room and took our 89. 00 that paid the room fee, but needed a credit card for a deposit then we could check in. They weren’t willing to work with us or try to make it right. My husband being a firefighter and emt was denied for we had no credit card and paid cash for room. We weren’t no show and we didn’t cancel they would allows us to check in with no deposit. In our mid 50s and felt we were a risk with no deposit. Offered them to my iPhone 16 til we checked out and confirm no damage and they refused."

"I used to be so dedicated to writing reviews of the places I've stayed... both to help the traveler but also to help me recall the great (and not so great) hotels and resorts along the way. This stay had me dust off my review typewriter to document and share the gem of hotel that is the Residence Inn in Mesa (Phoenix). Our stay was centered around a couples golf get away. The hotel rooms, location and amenities were the perfect choice for this type of trip. The layout is a bit unique and made it feel like you were at a resort more so than a typical hotel. The rooms are in various blocks centered around the lobby area and pool. Our room was extremely clean, spacious (important when you are travelling with golf clubs) and I appreciated the mini kitchen area. We didnt use the cooking options but it was nice to have the kitchen area for snacks and a real fridge to story the cool beverages that were needed after a hot day of golf! The breakfast was outstanding. It is complimentary with your room and was a perfect start for our golf days. It included a number of hot (and well made) options - scrambled eggs, sausages, hashbrowns! Along with fruits, cheeses, yogurt - for sure something for everyone. The pool area was also well used by our crew after a day in the sun. It isnt giant but was perfect for a dip and relaxing in the really nice lounge chairs and sun area. Again really felt more like a resort than a hotel. Finally location - Phoenix is the land of urban sprawl for sure... but the hotel is located just off a major highway and we were able to get anywhere we wanted to go in around 20-30 minutes. Super easy and convenient. The location can not be beat if you are like us and are visiting multiple areas around Phoenix. Final thoughts: - Clean (so important to me) - Safe neighborhood that is close to shopping and restaurants - Staff were very friendly - Overall hotel was quiet - slept GREAT -10/10 would recommend a stay for for couples and families visiting the area!"

Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Mesa, AZ

"Unfortunately, our experience was not a favorable one. Our stay began with entering a room that had not been cleaned. The bathroom was visible dirty, items were found on the floor and on the shelves of the dresser indicating a thorough inspection and cleaning had not been performed. The front desk associated had to come up and clean the bathroom herself. We immediately learned that the toilet was not flushing. We then had to wait for maintenance to come a tend to the toilet which he then left dirty after his repair. On day 2 naintence has to return again after the flushing mechanism broke and again we found ourselves with a toilet that was not operational. We booked at this hotel stay for a youth baseball tournament weekend, like may other guests at the time. The hotel is 4 floors and had only 1 operation ice machine that was not able to support the demand needed for all the guests. This was an additional inconvenience that just added to the unfavorable experience that our stay was. Although the staff did attempt to ready the issues that arose. The hotel was fully booked and other accommodations could not be offered. The attitude of the staff clearly indicated that our experience was not unique and in my options is indicative of the poor management that this hotel is under. We checked out a day early and while the hitel approved our refund, having booked through a third party, the process for being refunded is more complex. Very disappointing, would not recommend this hotel to anyone."
