When we booked a 2 bedroom cabin at this caravan park for $266.00 per night, we expected it to be pretty impressive! It wasn’t! One very small bathroom, a tiny main bedroom with Queen sized bed which took up most of the room, and a second bedroom which had 4 bunks….and very little room for suitcases. We arrived just before their closing time of 5pm. On arrival at our cabin, we unpacked the car and sat down to relax. Our son rinsed the glasses (only 4 glasses, and all completely different. 1 white wine, 1 red wine, 1 champagne glass and a single water glass), he found there was no hot water. None! We read in the room information book, that the office closed at 5pm. It also advised that an after hours EMERGENCY number was on the window of the office (about 150 meters from our cabin) There was a pretty strongly worded warning that the number was only to be used in the case of an EMERGENCY….and that there would be a fine imposed if the number was used for a non emergency. Is no hot water when it’s 8 degrees outside an emergency? We figured it was! Our son trekked to the office to get the EMERGENCY phone number. It wasn’t answered the first 3 times he tried. 2 Text messages were not answered either……. (How would this have been if it was a medical EMERGENCY?) At 9pm, some 2 1/2 hours after logging our EMERGENCY, a gentleman arrived (completely unannounced) and fixed the problem (one of their gas tanks had run out and needed to be switched to a full tank) After this gentleman left, my son found that Park Management HAD tried to call us…..but we didn’t hear the call. So they left us a voice message (I’m guessing they didn’t realise they were leaving a voice message) as it was a woman yelling in the background “ Well what do they expect us to do about it????” We would not stay there again.
