Lovely setting, clean rooms, comfortable beds. Big rooms, great view of the river and a charming community garden from a spacious deck. Walking distance to a nice breakfast/lunch spot-the Milbridge House-and a coffee/muffin place across the street. Within an hour of the main area of Acadia and 15 minutes from the Schoodic peninsula section. A good value at $170/night. Some minor problems were the plug in the bathroom didn’t work, TV stopped working, the water temperature was hard to manage in the shower and the A/C didn’t really cool the room well (heat is a rare issue in Maine though). Everyone was friendly, parking easy, and one of the best motels I’ve visited. Highly recommend.

Stayed at the Red Barn numerous times and at different seasons throughout the years. They are accommodating with our needs every time. Rooms are clean and there have been updates. What I love is when I return at the end of the day, I can't wait to get outside and enjoy the views and watch the tide come in or out. So relaxing...and quiet.

Beautiful view of the river and a lovely room, with comfortable beds and seating. The staff were very nice and very accommodating.

A nice quality clean place to stay. No frills. Super nice owners and management. A real asset to Milbridge. They've been in business a long time because they do it right. Highly recommended. I've stayed here several times. Early Spring to late Fall.

Went with friends from Boston and wanted somewhere in easy distance to Bar Harbour. We had a ferry booked from winter harbour, What a find, rooms were comfortable, clean, spacious and the view was beautiful. Staff extremely helpful and welcoming. Pointed us in The direction of the local restaurant within walking distance. It was perfect for what we needed. Would definitely recommend

Our journey started in Bangor and followed the eastern shore up to Campobello Island in New Brunswick. The Red Barn Motel in Milbridge was the halfway mark for easy daytrips in either direction. Front desk rep was helpful. Room was clean. Beds were comfy and included four pillows. Plenty of vanity, counter, and table space. Shower pressure good and water hot. Also the windows opened up for some cool night air! Grounds are well groomed. Would book again.

great people and I would go again, and I just might be going again, to see the leaves changing it was pouring rain when I got there but that did not stopped me for having a very great trip that I was going to enjoy, and I went to my friend,s grave to spend some time with him

We wanted a place to stay away from tourists on our way to Bar Harbor from Canada, and we found this place. Very helpful staff, on site garden, near the river. The room is huge and clean. There is a small park on the ocean nearby where you will be the only ones there.
