Wonderful place. Welcoming hosts and delicious breakfast with many local delicacies. The perfect escape! Near to the beautiful village of Monsanto, with a great swimming pool. The host Catarina also advised some places to visit and amazing eating experiences.

days ago on Google We spent three wonderful nights staying at Stefano and Catarina’s idilic country hotel. Bode is within very close proximity to the historical town of Monsanto. We were able to easily explore the area and always felt happy to return to the spacious and impeccable accommodations at Bode. We stayed in a room upstairs, with stunning views across the area - perfect for watching the sunset. The bed was very comfortable and all linens and towels were top quality. The bathroom was beautifully designed with a great deal of space, a shower and bath. The entire establishment is simply and very stylishly designed, while placing comfort first. We enjoyed the infinity pool on hot days and loved the history of the hotel which was a converted farm, with rooms that use to house an olive press, grain mill and wine cellar. Stefano and Catarina were kind and knowledgeable hosts and made us feel very welcome and cared for. Bode is the accommodation of choice in Monsanto. We will definitely be back!

Exceptional location close to Monsanto, wonderfully managed by Catarina & Stefano. Great for relaxing with a delicious breakfast and constant attention to detail. Charming decor and an infinite pool to complete the set. Highly recommended.

My wife and I had a great time at this incredible inn below Monsanto. The couple of who owns it and runs it entirely redid an existing old farm house. The rooms are fairly spacious and simple and very tasteful. The great room is beautiful and there’s a place for a good breakfast. However, it is the grounds that are probably the top draw. They look over the valley that Monsanto also looks over and they own the fields that you’re looking over and there’s a stylish pool. The area has good towns to visit and good restaurants. The couple who run it are very friendly and helpful and run the place very efficiently.
