Super 8 by Wyndham Murdo

We found this Super 8 to be tired and worn. When walking down the hall to our room after check in, the molding was down in two spots in the hallway, which was not a great first impression. The room was very small but that said, we had opted for a room with one bed. We had a fridge and a microwave. The heater unit looked like the front section was going to fall right off; we didn’t touch it. It did come on during the night and was very noisy. Speaking of noisy, we could hear major snoring through the wall! When we went to the breakfast room, there were only two slices of bread and 1 muffin available when we arrived, but there was cereal, apples and yogurt, along with a few other items including granola bars. No one appeared to be checking or restocking breakfast items. There was no recycling in our room.

The good: The staff are really nice. The bad: Everything else. The halls reeked. The window screens were off the windows and laying on the ground outside. The bathroom fixtures were from the 1970s (over 50 years old at least). The tub drain was cracked an left exposed sharp metal. The wall decor was peeling off the walls. The headboards were peeling.

The room was the worst I’ve stayed in! 1. The room smelled bad. Like stale wet dog. I used half bottle of spray to get it to smell better. 2. There was an inch of dust on the air conditioner. 3. There was blood stain in the bed on the sheets. 4. There was mold in the bathroom on the ceiling. When I went to the front desk to check out and tell them that we should be compensated for this they both just looked at me and didn’t have nothing to say. No I’m sorry about this let me see what I can do. NOTHING. I WOULD KEEP YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE DOWN THE ROAD LITTLE FARTHER. Clearly these people care about getting their $177 and don’t care about how disgusting their rooms are or making their customer happy.

Very easy to Check in we go out every other year for hunting trips. So we don't need to spend over 100 a night. Have never had issues with items being stolen which is an issue at other hotels in the area we have had in the past.

Over priced for the Rally. Only stopped because of the rain.last minute. Rooms were clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Other guests traveling to get out of the rain, too. Even with the price I would stay again. Thank you

Beds were very comfortable, the whole placed smelt clean, a very nice experience. The facility had a very large driveway, which made it great for us as we has a very large 5th wheel to park. Coffee bar was pretty good.
