"We had prearranged a stay at this “resort” and prepaid for a stay here for one night in early September only to find the gates closed and no way of entry. We had been requested to phone ahead to receive instructions and duly did so. We got through to a lady who made it clear that they were closed! We sat in front of the gates not knowing what to make of the situation as we are from Ireland and had pre booked and prepaid and did not know what to do or where to go from there. As we sat in front of the locked gates in the middle of nowhere a car appeared behind us. The lady who appeared from the car let us know that they were closed and had been trying to contact us to inform us. On contacting our travel company they had had no such communication from the resort. We had paid $309 for one night ( breakfast included) but the lady talking to us through our car window then arranged for us to stay at the nearby Artesian Hotel for $169 for 1 night - no breakfast included! They had been paid $309 up front by ourselves via our travel company but were quids in by booking us into the Artesian Hotel. Nice one ! We also had to pay for breakfast next morning in the Artesian Hotel. By the way the Artesian Hotel is fabulous and would not hesitate to recommend them"
