We went to that hotel 6 years ago, when it just opened. Quite alright, then. Our latest (and definitely last) visit was an utter disappointment. There were so many mothballs in the cupboard that I could hardly breathe. Only after removing all mothballs and opening the window for hours, it was bearable. Tiny ants in the desk attacked our food. People in the restaurant were unfriendly and obviously biased towards foreigners. While we couldn't get a table on the terrace (no space, they said), there was miraculously space when 4 local guests popped up later. We left the place without eating, but still had to pay for our order. Never again!

This is a really great hotel, especially for the price. I was not expecting such a comfortable room and bed. The staff were all, without exception, extremely friendly and helpful. There is a nice view of the bridge and town from the rooftop balcony. Thank you for everything and I hope to stay with you again when I am next in Pathein.
