This is a belated review as my last review seemed to disappear, so writing a short one again. Perfection is an often overused word in this day and age but when it comes to being used to describe 415, it doesn’t seem enough. Esther and Tom hosted us and were the epitome of what you would expect from the people of NZ. They were welcoming, thoughtful, helpful and above all, very friendly. Esther’s food is the best 😀 The accommodation is fantastic and you could not ask for anything else. It is luxurious and homely, which was exactly what we were looking for. It was my first time visiting NZ with my wife and I will definitely be back again. Thank you for making our trip so good, Esther and Tom.

Absolutely beautiful. Old world charm with silver, linen napkins, antique dinner set, home made preserves, stewed fruit, muesli & other breakfasts. Cakes ready for afternoon tea & drinks & canapés at 5pm, with Tom (Esther was away). Our room had beautiful linen, LOccitane toiletries, port & crystal glasses, snacks etc. We just felt so special❤️

We stayed in Feb 2024. One of the best B & Bs we’ve ever stayed at . Esther and Tom are the perfect hosts friendly, generous and helpful . Our room was to a high spec and super clean . Quality L’Ocitaine toiletries were supplied . The lovely bathroom had a good shower with fluffy white towels. There is even a lift to help with luggage if in an upstairs room . Each evening Esther and Tom invited guests to join them for a wine, beer or soft drink along with delicious nibbles that Esther makes. The breakfasts were super too with a great selection and a lot of home made goodies. To top it all they turn down your bed each night and leave a chocolate on the pillow as well as supplying a treat of a small decanter of port . We would definitely stay here again if we came back to Napier!

Looking back at past reviews of Esther’s and Tom’s fabulous boutique accomodation, we fully understand (and experienced the same great hosting), why each guest gave ‘415’ the perfect score. I don’t need to repeat the past unwaveringly complementary comments, other than to say we absolutely endorse them through our own experience. If you are looking for an exceptional stay in Napier, look no further than Esther and Tom’s 415 Marine Parade. To paraphrase an old advertisement …’often delighted, never disappointed’.

We have been blown away by the sheer luxury on offer at 415 and the owners are the loveliest of people you could wish to meet. It’s obvious as soon as you step over the threshold that Esther and Tom have put their hearts and souls into making 415 the place it is. Everything has been thought through, the smallest touches and details are in evidence everywhere you look. 415 is an oasis of calm and somewhere that you can truly relax. Both Esther and Tom are a mine of local information and they try to help you wherever they can. We’re sad to be leaving 415 but we can highly recommend that you stay here if you are in Napier.

This is what you really expect from a boutique bed and breakfast. It was amazing! Now my Gold Standard. The room ( Portland suite) we stayed in was comfortable and beautifully furnished with access to a lovely balcony with a view of the ocean. Everything was thought of in the room. The whole accommodation was attractive and well designed. However, the most important aspect( which money can't buy) was the welcome we received from Rachel, our host. She was very ably standing in for the owners, Esther and Tom, while they were on holiday. She looked after us very well and her and Catherine, her friend, were a whizz in the kitchen in the morning producing delicious breakfasts. Also mustn't forget the cake in the afternoon! Or the drinks and canapes in the early evening - this was lovely to socialise with other guests! Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable.

We had such a brilliant time here in Napier, during our 5week tour of New Zealand. We were greeted with the delicious smell of home baking and a beautifully decorated and welcoming lounge, where we had a lovely cup of tea and biscuits as we arrived. Our room was spacious and very clean and comfortable, as was the whole accommodation. However, it was Esther and Tom l, our hosts who made 415 Marine Parade extra special. They were so kind and caring, nothing was too much trouble for them. They invited us and the other people staying to drinks on the decked area, where we had such a wonderful time chatting, we almost forgot we had made a dinner reservation. My husband loved the homemade cakes so much, Esther decided to wrap one up for us, so we could take it to our next location, which made his day lol. A fantastic experience, which was made all the more wonderful by our amazing hosts- 10/10 thank you!

Don't often leave reviews but this place was so good that it would be unfair on Esther and Tom (the owners/hosts) to not do so. They are trying to do things very nicely and they certainly did. Lovely rooms, excellent home baked cake on arrival and very generous with drinks/canapes. A wonderful find and would thoroughly recommend.

Excellent place to stay, so welcoming, drinks and nibbles at 17.00 every evening where you can chat with other guests and the owners, Esther and Tom. Bedroom had everything we needed and wonderfully decorated. Great choice at breakfast all freshly prepared by Esther. This is THE place to stay in Napier.
