The Saga Hotel

We stayed at this hotel 2x and both times, a terrible disappointment. Room was small, no hot water, no safe, no refrigerator, with several noisy airconditioning units outside our window. When you use the shower, the bathroom floor is soaked. There is no floormat provided either. The room is not made up unless you request it - and no matter how many people are staying in the room, they only provide you with 1 bath towel. Staff need to be asked to replenish coffee sachets, provide a towel etc, .every day. The bed was clean and very comfortable. The floor below is a party venue - there doesn't appear to be any sound insulation and the noise is very loud, every night. Some of the party guests stay at the hotel and are shouting, walking around the corridors late into the night. One night I rang the staff 3x about the noise outside my door. Lastly, the cafe next door to the hotel also has an entrance leading directly on the guests' room floor so diners or anyone off the street can walk straight onto the floor and be outside your door. The staff seem unable to control anything here.

Comfortable beds for sleeping but awful service. Staff seem inexperienced and never available. We stayed for 3 nights and were unable to get any food for the duration of our stay. The restaurant was permanently closed and room service impossible to get hold of. No room cleaning during our stay and room facilities were limited - no fridge. Water in the shower was barely warm.

We had a wonderful experience at the saga hotel. The staff is friendly and professional. The food is very good. A definite recommend to everyone.
