It is known for its architecture, gorgeous historical homes and bohemian vibe. This neighborhood is close to all the action of the French Quarter yet far enough away to live and play like a local. When you stay here, you’ll be close to: St. Charles Avenue: Only a 5-minute walk from The Big Easy, you’ll find yourself on St.Charles Avenue, home of the Mardi Gras parade route. Here you can catch the iconic St. Charles streetcar that will carry you through districts like the French Quarter, CBD, and Uptown. You could not be in a more convenient location. Little Flea NOLA Market: Who doesn’t love a pop-up market? Forget heading to a traditional shop for souvenirs. Make sure you visit this great little market featuring the city’s best vintage, local artists and local makers. You can also dig into some fantastic food drinks and enjoy live music while you’re there. St. Mary’s Assumption Church: A national treasure, this cathedral was completed in 1860. It’s a beautiful historical landmark and even made its way into one of renowned author Anne Rice’s novels. Even if you aren’t a history buff, you’ll appreciate taking in the architecture of this gorgeous building.
