Well this was an experience and a half, and not a good one at that. We firstly arrived at the apartment complex after 8 hours of traveling to get given the keys to the apartment, which was not cheap, to be greeted with what can only be described as more than a weeks worth of dust flying about, a broken couch, broken table, food all over the floor, mould on the window and sills, a hair on the sink in one of the toilets and a bogie on the wall and more dust. When asked when the apartment was last cleaned, the receptionist did say the day before, which was clearly a lie, and quickly asked if we would like to move, all whilst he had a lovely big bogie hanging from his nose. We did move to another room which was much cleaner and more acceptable for the price we where paying. But.... and this is a big but... on the Saturday morning we woke up to be kindly greeted by armed police, CID and police dogs. The complex was mealy under "lock down", with two arrest being made, but we are still to be told what has happen or ask if we where all okay. No decency to check up on occupants as this was an ordeal that was quite frankly upsetting and alarming. I have emailed Dream Apartments to enquire about where I submit my complaint but no reply, shock horror.

What a disaster. Aside from the obnoxious, difficult, bribe-taking night receptionist - let’s talk about this ‘luxury penthouse serviced apartment’. The first thing you’ll notice is the pungent stench of rotting food and body odour which caresses the soft furnishings of what can only be described as a miserable quayside dungeon. Our ‘lovely’ walk-out balcony greeted us with a used condom and the apartment itself was riddled with dirt and grime. If you are brave enough to take a seat anywhere in this property please ensure you take a spatula from the ill-equipped kitchen to detach your trousers from the syrup-like surfaces. Oh, also remember to bring your ID every time you come into the building otherwise you won’t be able to get into the apartment you’ve paid for…. Unless you bribe the receptionist £20!! Thank god we had a belter of a weekend otherwise this might’ve ruined it. Don’t waste your money.

Was put here when our booked apartment needed urgent repairs. We only stayed 1 night out of 3 planned. Staff unhelpful- playing games or on video calls. No sharp knives, lights not working, towels dirty and frayed, damaged furniture, dirty oven, dirty shower, asked for a cafetière as requested before arrival- staff brought us Nescafé sachets and loose teabags being carried in his hands.

Don't stay here. I'm not one to write reviews, but arrived to a derelict feeling building, dark hallways and no towels in the apartment. The condition of the apartment was as other reviews - musty, dusty, walls and carpets marked up, random kitchenware, weird blocks in the couch to refill it. Only stayed the whole time as getting a refund seemed not worth the hassle. Will never be back.

Fab stay. Checked in 4 hours earlier than time allowed. Left bags in back office. Got keys and arrived back at room at midnight. Swift transaction. Friendly staff. Quiet environment. The apartment was spotlessly clean. Only thing I didn't agree with was that the lady on the phone said there wasn't a multistorey carpark near but they had their own for 15quid a night.... When in fact st Anne's multistorey carpark is directly over the road for £4 24hrr sat/sun

We were due to be staying here this weekend for the great north run. I had an email Monday evening saying they needed to do repairs on our accommodation so needed to cancel the booking. I wouldn't mind but I reserved this place a year ago. I understand things happen but when I called them they couldn't care. I do wonder if they over booked

"Dream apartments" is possibly the biggest reach I've ever come across in my life. More like nightmare. Apartments were dirty, ripped sofas, hairs in the bathroom, dining table dirty. We were only there for 1 night before a flight so we put up with it. We had to pay a £100 deposit which we were promised would be refunded within 10 days. Nearly two months later we are still waiting for the refund, after many excuses and a catalogue of incompetence. They asked us to send them an email with our card details giving full information and 3 digit CCV code as this was the only way they said they could refund it. Bank advice said absolutely not too. We provided details in a different way and a further 10 days have passed again and still no refund to date. Apparently they "lost" the details we provided them. Apartments tired and filthy and a bunch of scammers with the deposit, avoid at all costs.

Booked a penthouse suite which was already occupied and I wasn't offered a refund for the difference in price. Notwithstanding that all the walls in the apartment are scuffed and the standard of decorating is poor for example, the blue wall paint massively extends over white door frames and the white light switches, but more specifically: The dishwasher didn’t work and it looks like it hasn’t for some time. We reported this this but despite being promised it would be fixed that day it was not. The toilet door would not close One of the wardrobes smelled so bad inside my that daughter had to put her clothes in our wardrobe. It was so dusty it was obvious it had not been cleaned for some time The frying pan was so badly dented it couldn’t be used, handles were loose on saucepans and were dangerous to use One of the toilets didn’t flush properly One of the sinks had no plug or for that matter a plug surround, just an exposed drain On one of the beds there were two pillows in individual pillow cases as you would expect, but on the other side of the bed two pillows were stuffed into one pillow case! The bedside light was inoperable This is an apartment for four people. As it was a special occasion I opened a bottle of champagne to find there was only two wines glasses - which didn’t match! (a tall flute and a small round wine glass). However, the gentleman on reception did rectify this when I approached him The worktops in the kitchen area are chipped as is the surround for the microwave The carpets are severely stained and dirty in places. I have tried contacting the manager - no response. I then wrote to the CEO, Tom Smyth - offered a 15% discount on a future stay (unbelievable). I am now wondering if some of the reviews on other websites are genuine?

Terrible customer service booked for 4 people for 13th august arrived and told them we would be back later they never told us when to arrive for just after 4 and then we show up and nobody is at the desk to check us in rang 40 times no answer I would never book with them again as now we’re currently homeless and no money as no refund
