Planters Punch

The property is located in one of the best locations we ever stayed. The nature and scenic Beauty is truly amazing. But then this is the only thing good about this place. The place is managed locally by few guys who have no idea what they are doing. Hygiene and cleanliness is a major concern. Plates and cups are broken, they don’t clear the plates at night and we observed rats from the tea garden eating on the scrap foods from the same plates and dishes. Breakfast is included with the package, which is very basic of bread , butter, idli and dosa. The menu dsnt change much each day.. sometime they give Upma or Pongal with idli only. Breakfast is available only after 9 am and u have to wait for plates and cutlery to start eating. But the food is still manageable. The only concerning factor that the management should look into the service quality, hygiene and cleanliness of the place. They are charging a premium, but not providing the basic services.

It was my first visit into this property, me myself with family from Dublin went to this resort with other family members on 10th of May for a stay of 2 nights. Our experience was really horrible and misfortune of staying and it was hands down the worst resort experience I've ever encountered. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the resort was not up to standard, but things took a turn for the worse very quickly. Upon entering our room, we were greeted by an unpleasant odor. After a quick inspection, we discovered rat excrement scattered around the room, and in the bathroom. This was absolutely revolting and raised serious concerns about the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the resort. We immediately contacted the front desk, but their response was slow and dismissive, offering us no immediate solution or compensation.Then the time of checkout I myself spoke to the owner of resort and explained the experience we had on last two days. He didn’t care that much and much more he ask the staff to charge us for the extra bed we never used in entire stay( we might be lucky not use that bed as I am 100percent sure it will be full of rat excrement) really pathetic Customer experience from owner so how can we expect better from staff and property. As if the rodent problem wasn't bad enough, we experienced flooding from rain on our second night. The resort's infrastructure was evidently not equipped to handle heavy rain, as water started flooding into our room through the poorly sealed windows and under the door. We spent the night trying to keep our belongings dry and moving them to higher surfaces, but many of our items ended up soaked and ruined. The staff's response to the flooding was just as disappointing as their reaction to the rat excretion. It took hours for anyone to come and address the issue, and when they did, it was with inadequate tools and a lackadaisical attitude. We were eventually moved to another room, but by then, the damage was done, and our trust in the resort was completely shattered. In summary,Planters punch stay was a nightmare. The combination of unsanitary conditions, inadequate infrastructure, and indifferent staff created an experience that was not only uncomfortable.Would not recommend to anyone based on our experience.

The property is excellent and the views from it is stunning too. The food experience was really good in terms of the taste but the need to improve on the presentation part. The property is slightly away from the main road but the accessibility is good enough. Been fortunate to spot Indian Gaurs and Hares near to the property. There is a BBQ spot but we haven’t explored, though the space looks to be a compact dedicated area for it. The facilities offered in the room is good and i would say that the maintenance needs a bit of tidying up. (Calling out an experience which follows , ONLY to highlight the only odd thing during our stay - for you to take care and to improve on it ) The negative part of the whole stay is all about “5 minutes “ as this is the tagline which i have picked from my stay..LOL. This is a very commonly used term but seldom practiced , which i could hear from the staffs, in every department. The service delay is a thing which needs extensive correction. We were served evening tea after 1 hour and were just two flasks without any tea cups. When enquired about the tea cups, the staff very explicitly responded that there aren’t cups to serve, which was so annoying a response after this much waiting time. But keeping away the service part, we really enjoyed the stay facilities and ambience. Thanks !

Nature at its best, beautiful view of valleys, tea plantations and what not..food was good, rooms were clean and hygienic, view from room was amazing coz of glass walls, washroom could have been better cleaned but was doable. All the staff behavior and response was at its best. Special mention to the gardener Mr.Shashi who has maintained and given the gardens and its flowers full justice..his hard work is commendable in handling the nature's beauty so efficiently . Would love to visit here again.
